Chapter 44: The Torture Chamber

Athena’s POV

As I collapsed onto the ground, my legs were too feeble to hold me up any longer. Andrea was prolonging my punishment, but I couldn't help wondering if she would be capable of withstanding what I had in store for her. Exhaustion had set in, and I could feel my energy slipping away with each passing moment. I let out a deep sigh of contemplation as I tried to conjure up a plan.

Upon hearing rapid footsteps, I immediately quieted down. I was confident that the guards wouldn't come to inspect me now since they had only taken their leave a few minutes prior. Their constant checking ensured that I didn't make a run for it, but my current depleted state left me questioning the sense in attempting an escape.

The steps halted in front of the cell and I raised my head up immediately, I saw Grace standing, and I was shocked, I quickly crawl to hold the iron bar while she knelt before me with her eyes filled with worries
