I loved how she spoke to me about keeping the peace between the species. All I needed to do was work with her and I’d be able to create something magical.

“How long have you spent working with stubborn subjects?” she chuckled, crossing her leg while sitting on the bench.

“I don’t know, this is a first,” I smiled. “You?”

“I deal with them everyday. Being strong doesn’t truly get me off the hook for stubborn creatures willing to test my powers.”

“Does it work?” I asked. “The violence, does it chase them away?”

“It sadly doesn’t,” she laughed. “They keep appearing thinking of trying out a different approach to getting me but it doesn’t work.”
