Book Two : Stuck between her and duty

Marcelo’s point of view.

I sat back in my chair, staring at Alyssa’s picture on my phone. I could feel her crying herself to sleep every night. The soft whimpers come from her room every night even as she is alone.

“Hey,” Charlotte’s voice came from the door, as I lifted my head, giving her a weak smile as she came closer to the desk.

“Hi...” she said almost in a whisper as she came closer to where I was.

“So I was just thinking.” She said, leaning on the table as he tilted her head.

“I could help out with some things rather than just sitting and doing nothing,” she said to me as I swallowed hard.

It took a lot for me to convince her to accept to carry my child, but once she found out who I was and what I was willing to do for her, she didn’t even think twice.

‘What are you thinking?’ I asked, sitting back in my chair, interlacing my fingers as she inhaled sharply.

‘Well. I was thinking I could help with the things around the pack. Whatever Alyssa is willing to let me help with” she
