I found myself checking my wrist watch repeatedly as I awaited Esme's arrival from work.

Just this evening, an unexpected emergency came up at the empire and my immediate presence was needed to solve the issue.

No matter how hard I thought about excuses that could prevent me from going back home, the only solution remained on my returning back to the Lycan empire.

Besides, duty called and I was bound to answer because the responsibilities that came with my position as the Alpha of the pack was non-negotiable.

With the intention to create a memorable experience for Esme before my departure to the Lycan empire, I had gone out earlier this evening to purchase variety of items ranging from bright exquisite flowers, to accessories and chocolates.

As a matter of fact, I purchased everything that could make Esme happy that I could think of.

I also ordered some good meal and had skilled professionals decorate the rooftop of the hotel to look like we were having an actual date.
