KING ARCHIE’S POV

I was sitting on my throne with tears in my eyes.

I was crying. I was grieving like a good King and most especially like a good Son would.

After all, My mother has been killed.

After all, my mother has been poisoned to death and her body was lying in a white coffin that was also in the large throne room with me and all the Lycans and werewolves living and working with Royal Hills.

They were all here to witness a new day… a new era that would begin with my mother’s death.

“I know this is important but are you certain Amanisa would be fine on her own? Perhaps Curtis shouldn't have left her. I feel strong emotions from the bond but I can’t access her mind.”

Jay comp, gained while I wept like a child… a child sitting on a throne. Jay couldn't be bothered about my games. He didn't care that I had killed my mom's look-alike with the help of Rahela and also brought her to the meeting to play games with Byron and my subjects.

My Lycan Spirit couldn't care less.

KING ARCHIE’S POV“My Prince!”Ardin cried out but he has been left out. There was no way he could escape.Byron turned to Ardin slowly and said, “You have sinned, Ardin. You killed the mother of our King and as a member of his House and family, I can promise you that you will be punished.”“But I didn't Kill her. I didn't kill anyone!” Ardin barked, hissing at Byron. Jay chimed, “She is here.” before I could ask who he was talking about, Jay added, “Amanisa is here. She is awake and she is close.” What? I inhaled deeply and focused on the uncompleted bond between Amanisa and me to confirm Jay’s claims and to my surprise, she was truly awake… and she was close to the throne room but not within the throne room. “I believe we should execute this traitor immediately, Alpha King Archie. Avenge Aunt Sophie without delay.” Byron began to sob. He was such a snake. I was becoming uncomfortable in the throne room because Amanisa was outside doing goddess knows what. “Lycan King Archie,

AMANISA’S POVWOW…Seems like Kovan has finally found a way to get the truth out of his backstabbing Delta. It took so long for them to find out the truth and I would have been pleased about the whole charade happening in the throne room if Ardin wasn't making it sound like he was a saint and that he was forced into the plan. That bastard has always wanted me dead. From the beginning, he has been working with Byron… I just knew it.“Is that all you heard from what they have been saying?”Arla queried. “Trust me, I have heard a lot. And it’s quite confusing that they are all saying that Kovan found his destined mate… who could that be? I am carrying our child but he found–”Arla cut in, “You do realize he can’t impregnate any random female, right?”My eyes widened as it drew on me that the deeper bond I felt within me was a mate bond. The reason I was feeling Kovan at the back of my mind was that we had accessed a new form of bond. The deepest form of bond known to Lycans and werewol

KING ARCHIE’S POV“Let's get the funeral started, Bitches!”Amanisa– no. No. The woman standing in the middle of the throne room with a sword in her hand wasn't my Amanisa. Not only did she smell different but she also looked stronger and even deadlier. Her scent made my knees weak and I could see many of the Lycans in the room crumbling into a bowing position. That woman’s scent was compelling them like mine. That woman was demanding respect and Amanisa would have been able to do that when I mark her and also coronate her as the Queen. She wasn't the Queen yet she was strong… stronger than me if I was being honest. I didn't have to combat with her to know that. Did Byron do something to my mate? But why would she be against him if she was Amanisa’s clone? Why would my body be attracting hers like there were magnetic forces between our bodies? Minutes ago, she smelled and looked like Amanisa, my mate but now she was like a total stranger. Yet I was attracted to her.“Rahela. Wha

When you do, make sure they save those that have been captured before they come here. You can use as much energy as you want. Make sure you don't expose our pup though.”I replied calmly just as members of the house of Raven joined Byron and Violet. They would still be immobile if I wasn't concentrating my strength and aura on a different case.“Has your power suddenly declined, Amanisa? Such a shame.”Violet clicked her tongue. She was the least of my problems so I didn't bother exchanging words with her. “Exit the hall if you don't want to be dragged into this bloody war between my cousin and me. Stay safe with your families.” Kovan voiced. “Leave the hall now!”Seconds after, I felt him at the back of my mind, which I assumed was the effect of him trying to form a connection with my mind. It would have bee

AMANISA’S POV“Watch out, Ama!”Even Arla exclaimed but it was too late to move out of the way of the witch's attack. I turned back as fast as I could but before I could understand what was going on, I felt a wave of irritating energy approaching me. Second later, I felt that same energy engulfing me like a wormhole. I was surrounded by it and I couldn't move out of it. I was trapped. “What’s this, Arla? Do you have an idea?”I believed Arla would know about what was going on. She has weird knowledge about weird things and always helped me out. I looked around as I awaited Arla’s response but it was as if I had been teleported to another world. I couldn't see anything beyond the ting space. I couldn't see or hear Kovan and the rest of my team. Neither could I hear Byron and Violet or the grunts of the fighting men. I believed I was alone again until the dark sorceress’s voice resonated around me. “Let’s see what your Lywolf healer can do without access to your spiritual ability.

CHAPTER 125.KING ARCHIE’S POVThe level of anger and the suffocating feeling of great loss that consumed me when the witch got to Amanisa is unexplainable. Jay went crazy and I lost control which gave Byron the opportunity to do one or two on me. I grieved because my mate couldn't move. The witch attacked Amanisa and she froze on the spot. Her eyes weren't moving and neither was her body. She was frozen.I mourned because I could feel her energy slipping away with every second that passed and as soon as Amanisa was trapped Rahela couldn't hold the witch anymore. The witch used her all to bash Rahela. Gammas tried to help Rahela but they were no match for the dark witch.“Beat the hell out of this bastard so we can save her…”Jay barked, pumping rage into my body and my grief also became fury as I faced Byron again, dodging his punches and countering with stronger punches. I rolled over to where my sword was and picked it up without hesitation. The fight between Byron and I becam

AMANISA’S POVThe Healers' quarters were built differently from every other house in the realm. There were many quarters and each belonged to the respective families that made up the House Of Healers but they were built close to one another. The atmosphere was calm, peaceful, and reassuring. The Quarters were all built like they were being arranged as they were used to create a big circle. In the middle of the quarters was a bigger building which I believed was the place of spirituality and healing. The Healers built their house around their place of work and their place of meditation. The walls of the quarters were painted with white paint which deepen the purity of the area. Around the circular quarters were forces that protect the house of healers and its members. They could easily decide to not let anyone into their space. “Have you never been here with Mom?”Arla questioned as Rahela, Kovan, and I was led to the bigger building in the middle of the Healer’s quarters. It was morning already and even the dead could tell that the chaos of yesterday was still affecting us all in Royal Hills. There was a lot to clean up and many to punish. However, I wanted to face the Lycans again with a clean mindset. I wanted to have a deep talk with my mate. We haven't even spoken about the fact that we were mates and that I was carrying our child.Kovan doesn't want to talk about it.He made that clear after my tenth failed attempt to get through to him.“I wanted to talk too but after much consideration, I will rather not. It's okay if I get to know more about you in bits.”Kovan responded. He was being a bit cold and it terrified me. “What are you scared of, Kovan?”I inquired and stepped closer to him. We have been awake for hours and he wouldn’t even touch me or look me in the eye. The healers are expected t

AMANISA’S POV*SIX MONTHS LATER* I was a sweaty mess. My senses were heightened and I stared eagerly at Davina who was still standing in between my legs. I was lying on the same bed Davina pointed at when I asked her some hours ago about the bed I was born in.Davina had said, “That one. Your mother had difficulty with you, Queen Isidora. Are you sure you wnat to push her out on the same bed?” I had nodded without hesitating, choosing that bed and that room to push the Princess Of Royal Hills out of my swollen and tired body. Yes, I just delivered my baby girl and I couldn't wait to see her or hold her even though I was still breathless after pushing for hours. My baby decided to come early but that didn't mean she didn't take a lot of hours to show herself to the world after my water broke. “She is here. The Princess has been born!”Davina exclaimed. I let my head fall on the pillow as Davina walked to me with my bloody bundle of happiness. Ava and Rahela were in the delivery r

KING ARCHIE’S POVContrary to my belief, things were going well. The scent of death was hanging in the air the moment we stepped into the room slowly dissipated. Amanisa and Lulu held their Mom for minutes and we all saw the former Queen heal at the hands of her daughters. Jay questioned, “All they had to do was touch her?” As if Rahela could hear my Lycan Beast, she repeated the same question but audibly, “All we had to do was make her two daughters touch her together?”Davina simply gasped, shocked that her sister was showing signs of life. Lulu answered Rahela’s question, “We have to do more than that, Rahela and that’s where you all come in.” Lulu went ahead to explain that this wasn't how their mom would recover. She also mentioned that she believed that the moment she and Amanisa take their hands off their mom, she would return to her vegetative state… her health might also deteriorate quickly. Since Lulu was knowledgeable, no one questioned her or how she knew what to do.

AMANISA’S POVMy story– our story wasn't getting sadder. At least, I couldn't see it becoming more sad. There was no way I would allow it even though I could feel it in my gut that a lot could still go wrong. Davina said it, in fact. She said my mother was dying… Right after I found the perfect sister, I also realized that my mom has been living in pain for twelve years. What was I saying? This could get worse and very sad. I mean, how was I supposed to be the strong sister when Lulu was breaking as we walked to the forbidden first room? How was I supposed to not break when I was going to see my mom who has been suffering alone and in pain all these years? How would I stay strong when I walked in to see life leaving my Mom’s eyes? It could get worse and I could see myself breaking without restraint. I had a sister to shield but—“No one will stop you from breaking, Ama. You have been strong for many years and you have suffered greatly too. Take the break if you want it.”Arla voi

KING ARCHIE’S POVEver since Amanisa asked Davina about her Mom and younger sister, I had been in shock. Coupled with Amanisa being unconscious for days, I was partially a curious living dead. I’d asked questions from Davina but she refused to say a word concerning my concerns and Lulu had been sticking around for the past thirty hours for reasons I didn't know until she revealed that she was Amanisa’s sister… The same sister that I kept wondering how she could exist. I mean, I had never heard of a second child of Queen Idalia and her mate. But from the look on Davina's face, it sank in that there was still so much I needed to know about my mate. Amanisa was shocked as well and Rahela and her girls were equally shocked as Lulu wept her heart out in Amanisa’s arms– a place I wanted to be but couldn't be at the moment. Jay etched, “I can’t believe this. Lulu is her little sister and her mom, Queen Idalia who we all thought was late is alive and in the next room to us…”Yes.. that w

AMANISA’S POVThe first voice I heard belonged to Kovan. I didn't realize how long I had been out but I heard my mate’s voice first. Kovan etched, “You still won’t tell me what she was referring to before she passed out?”Obviously, Kovan was speaking to Davina whose presence could be felt as my eyes fluttered open. My eyes met with Lulu’s sad eyes the moment they opened and the little but grown girl gasped as her eyes widened. I smiled at her and her lips trembled which made me wonder why she was so sad. That was unlike her.Davina responded to Kovan before she realized that I was awake, “I can’t say anything until Amanisa wakes up. I am sorry, My King.” “You don’t have to be sorry, Aunt Davina. I am already awake so you can begin.”I let out breathlessly. As their eyes shifted to me, I winced. My neck was still aching which meant that I had not fully healed from Byron’s tight hold. How long was I out for exactly?“Amanisa!”“Ama!”Davina and Kovan exclaimed simultaneously. Both o

AMANISA’S POV“Two…”Davina let out through the mind link. Byron, on the other hand, kept yelling to get the Gammas to obey him but after I had announced that Kovan doesn't have to beg or listen to Byron anymore, Byron lost the little power he had over everyone.“Now!”Davina declared and with the little breath I had left, I pushed my hands upward, grabbing Byron’s ugly face. “What the fuck do you think you are doing? Do you have an immediate death wish–”Byron cussed at me but the sudden splash of water on his body cut his irritating voice off. Byron yelled at the healers behind me, “What did you do that for?”Lulu’s soft voice broke out, responding, “You will find out in three, two, one…”I didn't let Lulu finish counting before I dug my fingers into Byron’s eyes and immediately, Byron screamed, not just because of my attack but because of the effect of the cleansing water as well. His hold on my neck loosened.“Ahhh.”Violet gasped loudly, jumping away from Byron when she reali

AMANISA’S POVPlease… Just two minutes, Kovan… I need two minutes to save you… to save us all from his clutches.“Bury me alive, Curtis… Do it now.”Kovan’s voice still found a way to hit my eardrums even though I was literarily dying from Byron’s tight hold. His palms were big enough for one of them to wrap around my neck, choking me, and restricting me without him breaking a sweat.“You are almost there, Isidora… Please don’t give up.”Davina’s voice spread in my mind. I could feel myself getting drained. Although the energy I was trying to move from Byron’s chest had been pulled up to his throat or somewhere around that part of his body, I could still fail. But I couldn't let myself fail… I had too many people counting on me. “I think it’s time we move to the tomb. I mean you can’t miss this, Baby.”Violet whispered sweetly which would have made me cringe if I wasn't losing my strength slowly. Byron chuckled, “I can't be there while they bury him. Tradition says that while he

KING ARCHIE’S POVSomething wasn't right. I could feel it in my guts that something was wrong with how fast Amanisa struck my demonic cousin down.“To be honest, he doesn't seem to be breathing well at the moment.” Jay pointed out. “But the knockdown was too easy.”Davina countered, “You don't understand how strong Princess Isidora is right now. Aside from releasing her unused energy, we have shared our energy with her and also weakened the demon. This isn't strange at all, My King.”I begged to differ but Lulu voiced, “We don't have the time to argue. That beast’s energy is getting stronger by the second. Drain him now, Amanisa.”I could hear Lulu’s conviction and fear. She was a child that should be protected from this scene. When did she get here?“We will help you before he bounces back stronger--”Rahela uttered, making me realize that even though Amanisa struck Byron in his demonic state, he had the tendency of regaining his power quickly. And Byron could become stronger with ev

That fact has been established even before I set my eyes on the new Byron. But was I still doing this regardless of my fear?Again, Yes. There was no other option. Everyone here is looking up to me. I was their hope and I wasn't about to fail them. Therefore, I swallowed my fear and declare, “Let's get the funeral started.”Seeing how fast Byron was growing, the healers wasted no time after my declaration.
