AMANISA’S POV

The Healers' quarters were built differently from every other house in the realm. There were many quarters and each belonged to the respective families that made up the House Of Healers but they were built close to one another.

The atmosphere was calm, peaceful, and reassuring.

The Quarters were all built like they were being arranged as they were used to create a big circle. In the middle of the quarters was a bigger building which I believed was the place of spirituality and healing.

The Healers built their house around their place of work and their place of meditation.

The walls of the quarters were painted with white paint which deepen the purity of the area. Around the circular quarters were forces that protect the house of healers and its members. They could easily decide to not let anyone into their space.

“Have you never been here with Mom?”

Arla questioned as Rahela, Kovan, and I was led to the bigger building in the middle of the Healer’s quarters. They call

AMANISA’S POV“But we have to talk, Kovan. I have to explain things to you and perhaps apologize for keeping so many truths hidden from you.”I argued. It was morning already and even the dead could tell that the chaos of yesterday was still affecting us all in Royal Hills. There was a lot to clean up and many to punish. However, I wanted to face the Lycans again with a clean mindset. I wanted to have a deep talk with my mate. We haven't even spoken about the fact that we were mates and that I was carrying our child.Kovan doesn't want to talk about it.He made that clear after my tenth failed attempt to get through to him.“I wanted to talk too but after much consideration, I will rather not. It's okay if I get to know more about you in bits.”Kovan responded. He was being a bit cold and it terrified me. “What are you scared of, Kovan?”I inquired and stepped closer to him. We have been awake for hours and he wouldn’t even touch me or look me in the eye. The healers are expected t

He was happy about sorting out issues with Amanisa now his joy has doubled. Lulu and Amanisa couldn't keep up with my speed and at some point, I felt bad for Amanisa. She would never feel this kind of joy again.Because of my uncle. One way or the other, I was linked to those that murdered my mate’s parents. Who was I to feel intimidated and sad about her being a competition?I should be glad the moon goddess found me worthy of her and gave me and my mother the chance to live by making me Amanisa's mate.I didn't want to imagine what would have happened if I wasn't her mate.“Knowing her, she would have found out the truth before slaying us… That's if you didn't do anything to provoke her.”Jay supported and defended Amanisa again. AMANISA’S POV“Could it be that she was using someone else as the source or reserve of her energy?”I voiced even though I didn't understand the meaning of my statement.Davina nodded, to my surprise. “It could be that, Princess Isidora. If she had hidden her strength in someone, it will take some time for the darkness to germinate within the new vessel and we have to wait until we sense the darkness.”Davina supplied. I honestly thought that the day would end all of our problems since Byron and Violet would be punished today. I believed that today would mark the beginning of a normal life which I experienced some minutes ago with Damon, Kovan, and everyone else. Sadly, it wasn't time to let the realm know that I was carrying a child. The realm wasn't safe yet. Arla chimed, “Look on the bright side, Ama. you have more people on your side now. You can protect them better while they also watch your back. We will be fine and whereas, the three is an assumption. No one is certain tha

KING ARCHIE’S POV“You have to tell me what’s happening, Kovan.” Amanisa held me back. I blamed myself for saying that there was a problem. I shouldn’t have panicked. I should have found a way to take Davina out with me but now I have gotten the attention of her– Amanisa… my mate. “Tell me, Kovan. Please. You can’t just leave without telling me.”Amanisa was adamant and from the look on everyone’s face, they weren't bout to support me or get her off my back. Just like yesterday, a lot has happened today. My head was spiraling as I thought of the hidden relationships that has been brought to light. I placed my hand on my mate’s shoulder and asked, “Do you trust me, Amanisa?”“Of course, I trust you but I do not trust you not t leave me behind. I don't want you to face troubles alone. We have to do this together as one.”Amanisa argued, making me bite my lips. How do I make her stay here in the safest place? AMANISA’S POV“I think you should sit, Amanisa.”Sophie’s voice found me. She walked up to me and stood beside me. I have been standing by the entrance of the house of purity for the past three hours yet Kovan was yet to return and I hated the eerie feeling that settled within me. I was scared. My parents told me twelve years ago that they would come for me but they didn't. They were unable to and now I feared that Kovan was also stuck. I feared that he wouldn't be able to make it back to his daughter and me. Which was why I stood hopelessly at the entrance, blaming myself for not going with him when he left. “It’s been five hours since they left and none has heard anything from them. I can’t help but worry, Sophie. This brings back dark memories.” I informed the older Lycan behind me. Many times in the past five hours, I had thought of going after Kovan but I had to think over and over because of the soul that was growing within me.I couldn't risk my daughter’s life.“Why don't

I couldn't believe that my whole life has been a lie. A misconception. A misunderstanding. It was a different thing to find out that Kovan and his family were innocent. It was one thing to realize that all my life, I have been backing on the wrong tree. For almost thirteen years I have been living in darkness. This darkness wasn't the same as the one that consumed me while I grieved and called myself the royal darkness. This particular darkness was born out of the lack of information.I lacked the needed information. I was denied the right to be brought to light. The light that I needed to live a less painful life. A peaceful and happy life. I didn't get that light until now.And it felt like the light at the end of the tunnel but why does it have to be at the end? Why now?“Calm down, Amanisa. P

KING ARCHIE’S POV“We are winning, Lycan King Archie.” Gamma Curtis had told me through the mind link as we successfully curbed the protesters or should I say greedy ass members of the House of Ravens? It was a relief because I wanted to see my woman and be with her right now. However, contrary to Curtis's statement and my observations as we subdue the protesters, I felt a sharp pain coursing through my left ribs. It was sudden.I didn't see that coming and neither did I see the black dagger that is now buried within me coming earlier. It was too fast and the attacker that threw the dagger at me was precise and I didn't perceive or see him until I was pierced by his weapon which I knew would have been laced with poison. “That bas-tard…” Jay stuttered as the poison started to take effect, numbing my Lycan beast. Jay could see the attacker through my eyes as he was pushed to the back of my mind.It was him… After fighting through a body of people that were protesting because of h

What else could be more shocking than the fact that I just stabbed myself and that I am seeing my cousin while others can’t see him?”Davina Lips thinned before my eyes and she whispered, “If you insist, My King.”Yes, I insisted. Davina continued after a short break, “Prince Byron has become one of the most dangerous Lycans and it takes someone equal to defeat him.”“I am not scared of him, Davina.” I chimed boldly. “I will face him now and destroy his tainted soul.”Rahela voiced, “It's not as easy as you make it sound, My King.” There was fear in her eyes as she spoke. “You witnessed the struggle Princess Isidora and I had to endure while fighting the dark sorceress. AMANISA’S POV*SIX MONTHS LATER* I was a sweaty mess. My senses were heightened and I stared eagerly at Davina who was still standing in between my legs. I was lying on the same bed Davina pointed at when I asked her some hours ago about the bed I was born in.Davina had said, “That one. Your mother had difficulty with you, Queen Isidora. Are you sure you wnat to push her out on the same bed?” I had nodded without hesitating, choosing that bed and that room to push the Princess Of Royal Hills out of my swollen and tired body. Yes, I just delivered my baby girl and I couldn't wait to see her or hold her even though I was still breathless after pushing for hours. My baby decided to come early but that didn't mean she didn't take a lot of hours to show herself to the world after my water broke. “She is here. The Princess has been born!”Davina exclaimed. I let my head fall on the pillow as Davina walked to me with my bloody bundle of happiness. Ava and Rahela were in the delivery r

KING ARCHIE’S POVContrary to my belief, things were going well. The scent of death was hanging in the air the moment we stepped into the room slowly dissipated. Amanisa and Lulu held their Mom for minutes and we all saw the former Queen heal at the hands of her daughters. Jay questioned, “All they had to do was touch her?” As if Rahela could hear my Lycan Beast, she repeated the same question but audibly, “All we had to do was make her two daughters touch her together?”Davina simply gasped, shocked that her sister was showing signs of life. Lulu answered Rahela’s question, “We have to do more than that, Rahela and that’s where you all come in.” Lulu went ahead to explain that this wasn't how their mom would recover. She also mentioned that she believed that the moment she and Amanisa take their hands off their mom, she would return to her vegetative state… her health might also deteriorate quickly. Since Lulu was knowledgeable, no one questioned her or how she knew what to do.

AMANISA’S POVMy story– our story wasn't getting sadder. At least, I couldn't see it becoming more sad. There was no way I would allow it even though I could feel it in my gut that a lot could still go wrong. Davina said it, in fact. She said my mother was dying… Right after I found the perfect sister, I also realized that my mom has been living in pain for twelve years. What was I saying? This could get worse and very sad. I mean, how was I supposed to be the strong sister when Lulu was breaking as we walked to the forbidden first room? How was I supposed to not break when I was going to see my mom who has been suffering alone and in pain all these years? How would I stay strong when I walked in to see life leaving my Mom’s eyes? It could get worse and I could see myself breaking without restraint. I had a sister to shield but—“No one will stop you from breaking, Ama. You have been strong for many years and you have suffered greatly too. Take the break if you want it.”Arla voi

KING ARCHIE’S POVEver since Amanisa asked Davina about her Mom and younger sister, I had been in shock. Coupled with Amanisa being unconscious for days, I was partially a curious living dead. I’d asked questions from Davina but she refused to say a word concerning my concerns and Lulu had been sticking around for the past thirty hours for reasons I didn't know until she revealed that she was Amanisa’s sister… The same sister that I kept wondering how she could exist. I mean, I had never heard of a second child of Queen Idalia and her mate. But from the look on Davina's face, it sank in that there was still so much I needed to know about my mate. Amanisa was shocked as well and Rahela and her girls were equally shocked as Lulu wept her heart out in Amanisa’s arms– a place I wanted to be but couldn't be at the moment. Jay etched, “I can’t believe this. Lulu is her little sister and her mom, Queen Idalia who we all thought was late is alive and in the next room to us…”Yes.. that w

AMANISA’S POVThe first voice I heard belonged to Kovan. I didn't realize how long I had been out but I heard my mate’s voice first. Kovan etched, “You still won’t tell me what she was referring to before she passed out?”Obviously, Kovan was speaking to Davina whose presence could be felt as my eyes fluttered open. My eyes met with Lulu’s sad eyes the moment they opened and the little but grown girl gasped as her eyes widened. I smiled at her and her lips trembled which made me wonder why she was so sad. That was unlike her.Davina responded to Kovan before she realized that I was awake, “I can’t say anything until Amanisa wakes up. I am sorry, My King.” “You don’t have to be sorry, Aunt Davina. I am already awake so you can begin.”I let out breathlessly. As their eyes shifted to me, I winced. My neck was still aching which meant that I had not fully healed from Byron’s tight hold. How long was I out for exactly?“Amanisa!”“Ama!”Davina and Kovan exclaimed simultaneously. Both o

AMANISA’S POV“Two…”Davina let out through the mind link. Byron, on the other hand, kept yelling to get the Gammas to obey him but after I had announced that Kovan doesn't have to beg or listen to Byron anymore, Byron lost the little power he had over everyone.“Now!”Davina declared and with the little breath I had left, I pushed my hands upward, grabbing Byron’s ugly face. “What the fuck do you think you are doing? Do you have an immediate death wish–”Byron cussed at me but the sudden splash of water on his body cut his irritating voice off. Byron yelled at the healers behind me, “What did you do that for?”Lulu’s soft voice broke out, responding, “You will find out in three, two, one…”I didn't let Lulu finish counting before I dug my fingers into Byron’s eyes and immediately, Byron screamed, not just because of my attack but because of the effect of the cleansing water as well. His hold on my neck loosened.“Ahhh.”Violet gasped loudly, jumping away from Byron when she reali

AMANISA’S POVPlease… Just two minutes, Kovan… I need two minutes to save you… to save us all from his clutches.“Bury me alive, Curtis… Do it now.”Kovan’s voice still found a way to hit my eardrums even though I was literarily dying from Byron’s tight hold. His palms were big enough for one of them to wrap around my neck, choking me, and restricting me without him breaking a sweat.“You are almost there, Isidora… Please don’t give up.”Davina’s voice spread in my mind. I could feel myself getting drained. Although the energy I was trying to move from Byron’s chest had been pulled up to his throat or somewhere around that part of his body, I could still fail. But I couldn't let myself fail… I had too many people counting on me. “I think it’s time we move to the tomb. I mean you can’t miss this, Baby.”Violet whispered sweetly which would have made me cringe if I wasn't losing my strength slowly. Byron chuckled, “I can't be there while they bury him. I could feel it in my guts that something was wrong with how fast Amanisa struck my demonic cousin down.“To be honest, he doesn't seem to be breathing well at the moment.” Jay pointed out. “But the knockdown was too easy.”Davina countered, “You don't understand how strong Princess Isidora is right now. Aside from releasing her unused energy, we have shared our energy with her and also weakened the demon. This isn't strange at all, My King.”I begged to differ but Lulu voiced, “We don't have the time to argue. That beast’s energy is getting stronger by the second. Drain him now, Amanisa.”I could hear Lulu’s conviction and fear. She was a child that should be protected from this scene. When did she get here?“We will help you before he bounces back stronger--”Rahela uttered, making me realize that even though Amanisa struck Byron in his demonic state, he had the tendency of regaining his power quickly. And Byron could become stronger with ev
