The next day, the court opened as soon as the sun was up.

There was no sleep for Nora and I last night since we were trying so hard to put forward an argument.

Since she was now representing him, I couldn't help her directly because I needed to remain unbiased and uninvolved in all the dealings of both sides.

But that didn't mean I was free to sleep.

I needed Damien to be free which meant that I had to raise my own questions too. The letters hadn't returned and I was thinking of telling the Court what happened with the prisoner and the letter and all the ways the coincidence just matched up.

However, I didn’t know who was the real culprit which meant I couldn’t trust anyone yet until I found answers for myself.

Nancy, who was restless , bumped into me when I went to drink water in the kitchen.
