Nora was the one who brought the news to me. It seemed like a dream, like it was fake because we had done this before, spreading rumors like this.

“Why would I lie about something like that, Adrian ? At this point? I'm serious. The kids have returned to their parents. All of them.”

That means, my son should be back now. And hopefully, Kaya.

“So what about Milo ? Have you seen Milo ?”

She shook her head.

Where could he be? Or did he stay back to help his mother?

That is a situation I can see happening.

“Get the carriage. We're going into the pack. I need to see some of the kids. I need to know what happened over there.”

I waited until they brought the carriage around and then hopped in with Nora behind me. For the first time in months, I felt relieved. The children have finally seen their parents.

If anything had happened to them, it would have been disastrous and it would definitely hurt the pack. But thankfully, nothing happened.

The first house we stopped at was quiet.
