Confession

MESSIAH JORDY'S POV

The room was cozy and illuminated with blue rays of light. Mother and father shared a double couch and rested on each other's shoulders, with their fingers intertwined like the typical lovebirds they were.

Arlo and I sat on separate couches. I couldn't afford any bit of proximity to him, not after what just happened in the garden.

He didn't seem like he wanted to be close to me, either. He was wearing a cold scowl, spiked with a little warm smile for my parents. But he did his best not to glance my way, and I tried to keep my gaze from darting to his mesmerizing physique.

The silence was beginning to feel awkward. But then, Arlo broke it by clearing his throat and saying,

"I'm really sorry for the inconvenience, Alpha Hillary, Luna Cora. Believe me; I wouldn't be bothering you both if it wasn't very important," He bowed slightly, in a manner that showed courtesy.

"Don't worry about it, Arlo. You're always welcome to have a chit-chat with me and my mat
