Silence sometimes can be louder than words itself.

Harper and Damon sat next to each other on a fallen log. The air between them was nothing but awkward. Hector was bouncing the small of his feet on his lap. It was few of the times that the small child was comfortable with his father’s presence. Well, one of the few. Countable fews.

“You know it’s going to be different now, right?”

“Different is an understatement.” – Harper said, with gritted teeth

“I know. What I meant is that it’s not going to be easy with Alpha Draco being on the scene. However, it won’t be of any effect with me and you… and how we run the pack.”

Harper scoffed. Who was he kidding? It cannot be possible. Now that his presence’s known, he would manifest it everywhere. He would be interfering with a lot of things everywhere.

“You know that’s a lie.”
