A Demon Spawn

Esmer felt her heart would stop when she was subjected to the prolonged silence. Somehow she knew what was coming. She was sitting slumped on the sofa with no control over her body. Her eyes were glazed gray.

Her consciousness was being projected in her little familiar bushtit who was sitting on the branches that covered the broken window with her head the other way.

If someone was to sever her body, she wouldn't feel a thing as her consciousness was elsewhere but soon she would be forced to return to her body as her aura would run out.

It was a strange state of mind: to an outsider it will look like she was in a comma.

“The drink that day I…” Her heart thumped down.

That stupid child! Didn't she understand she was provoking a half-demon when he was already out with his mind?
