Chapter Twenty Seven

Jason and I strolled along the streets of Silver Dawn once more, observing the people and getting a feel of their pack. Since I still haven't received a response from Kazia, I decided to use my time here to look around and observe how things worked.

As Jason and I looked around, I couldn't help but notice how the people of Silver Dawn looked rushed and busy compared to our people in Silver Crest.

It may sound like a weird observation, but something about watching them almost made me dizzy, as they all seemed to be hurrying somewhere, hurriedly doing something, and basically just rushing in every sense of the word.

"These people look like they work too hard," I commented, shaking my head in disapproval. "It's almost like they're not even letting themselves breathe at all," I added, genuinely concerned that they were acting so rushed and slightly desperate.

Jason nodded. "Well, according to what I heard previously, half of their earnings go to Murad and his council as tax.
