Third Person Pov

Agrippina continued to pace back and forth in her room, her frustration and anger palpable. She had gone to visit Murad in his quarters earlier, only to be told that he had left the palace with one of his pets.

The fact that Murad had not deemed her worthy enough to inform her first that he was leaving the palace left a bad taste in her mouth, and simply saying she was furious would be an understatement.

Feeling uneasy, she had sent her personal maid, Nancy, to find out which pet Murad had taken out on a stroll to town, and was now waiting for her return.

She was mentally hoping with all her might that it wouldn't be who she thought it was because hearing that name would only ruin her mood and make her all the more bitter.

After a few minutes of waiting that felt like forever, Nancy entered the room, and almost immediately she walked in, she could sense her mistress's frustration. "Milady, I bring back news. I have asked around the pets and found that King

Third Person Pov Kavan and Jason returned to their inn, their minds preoccupied with the thoughts of everything that happened earlier at the market. They took their seats at the table in their room, but before Kavan could even catch his breath, Jason was quick to reprimand him. "What in the world were you thinking, Kavan?" Jason said, his voice sharp with reproach. If he weren't still conscious of the fact that Kavan was his king besides being his friend, he would have given him a good punch as soon as they walked through the doors. "Do you even realize what would have happened because of your carelessness? You almost blew our cover right in front of Murad. What were you planning on doing? Jumping in front of him and announcing your presence in his Pack? If I hadn't pulled you away, we would both be dead by now!" Jason hissed, unable to hide his anger. Kavan remained silent, not because he was trying to ignore Jason, but because his mind was elsewhere. He couldn't shake off the i

Third Person Pov Kazia could feel Murad's gaze on her back as they walked towards the palace, his footsteps quickening in an attempt to catch up to her. But Kazia had other ideas. She did not want to be alone with him, not even after his behavior toward her during their time in town. He had been extra kind to her, taking her to whatever stalls she wanted to see, allowing her to buy and eat whatever she liked, and ignoring every rude word that came out of her mouth like it didn't matter to him. She couldn't allow herself to be deceived by his supposed kindness because she knew that he had an ulterior motive, and if the motive didn't involve bedding her tonight, it was probably just another way for him to try to get her to succumb to him in the near future. She couldn't understand the reason behind his determination to fool her into believing that he was a kind person, but whatever the reason may be, she was determined not to fall for it. As they reached inside the palace, t

Third Person Pov Nancy's knock on the door of Agrippina's room was the first thing she heard as soon as she woke up from her slumber. With her eyes fixed on the door, she permitted Nancy to enter, and the latter was quick to inform her of the arrival of Murad. Agrippina had been waiting eagerly for his return all through the day, and now that he was back, she quickly rose from her bed and headed to his chamber. She needed answers for his unscheduled trip with Kazia and why he had left the palace premises without informing her of his departure or even including that he would be taking Kazia with him. She had spent the entire day fuming at the thought that Murad had disregarded her authority, and she was also restless at the thought of Murad and Kazia spending the entire day together. She knew that she shouldn't be bothered by the fact that Murad was hanging out with his Pet, but for some reason, Kazia made her feel unsettled, and she couldn't help but feel conscious of her.

I was in my room, trying to gather my thoughts together, when I heard a knock on my door. Before I could invite whoever was behind the door in, Lily, my servant, walked in, bowing her head in respect as soon as she did. "Miss, I'm sorry to disturb your rest, but last night, you gave me a task to carry out for you, and I just wanted to inform you that I already went to find the chef you asked for. But the thing is, there's a small mishap," Lily informed. "What is it?" I asked. "So the thing is, there are two men whose names are Greg, and they both work in the kitchen. I didn't know which one you wanted, so I brought them both to you to check for yourself," Lily replied. I nodded, understanding. "Thank you for letting me know, Lily. Please escort them in." I instructed. Lily immediately left the room and returned with two men behind her. Both men bowed respectfully to me, and I could tell they were nervous. They probably think that I had called them to punish them or give them

Kazia I sat in the room, looking at Iris and Elena, their expressions filled with shock. I could understand why they would be surprised at my request, but I had nowhere else to turn, and I knew that I couldn't possibly find a way on my own. "Iris, Elena, I know it's sudden, but I really need your help to meet this person," I said, my voice shaking slightly. "You need our help to meet a man? Are you being serious right now?" Iris asked as if still trying to grasp the concept. I nodded, knowing how it might sound coming from a Lycan King's pet. "Yes, dear Iris, I need to leave the palace to meet someone, and that someone in question is a man," I answered, hoping they would get over the shock as soon as possible because I definitely didn't have the energy to continue explaining why I needed to meet up with a man. "No offense Kazia, but how exactly do you already know someone in town, most especially a man?" Elena asked, her eyebrows raised in confusion. "You haven't even been her

Third Person Pov Kavan and Jason had a heart-to-heart talk in the quiet night a few miles from the inn where they were staying. Jason thought it was time for them to go home because it had been almost a week since they left the Silver Crest Pack. He was starting to feel stressed about how much trouble they might run into if they delayed any longer, especially since they had left the Pack Council unsure of why they had suddenly left or where they were headed. "We can't stay any longer, Kavan," Jason said, a hint of worry in his eyes. Kavan hesitated; his thoughts were conflicted. "Let's wait just a few more days, Jason. I need to know if Kazia will meet with me, and I don't want to leave just to end up missing her," he pleaded, even though he knew that he was asking for too much. "I understand that you want to meet her, Kavan, but we've been here for far too long, bro, and the longer we wait, the harder it'll be to explain to the council where we went and why we left without sayi

Third Person Pov Kazia padded alongside Iris and Elena, enjoying the hustle and bustle of the town. It was refreshing to be outside the palace, and what made it even better than last time was the fact that she was with her friends and not a man she loathed.Elena breathed in the fresh air and sighed, "I can't remember the last time I left the palace and was able to stroll so freely around town. It almost feels like I've been stuck indoors forever!" she exclaimed excitedly, unable to hide her happiness. Kazia was surprised, "Are you being serious, Elena? It couldn't have been that long?" she commented, wondering why Elena sounded like she hadn't been outside the palace in eons. "Does it sound that unbelievable?" Elena questioned, taken aback that Kazia sounded so surprised. "Well, to start with, when was the last time you left the palace, Elena?" Kazia asked. Elena sighed, "Months. I haven't been out of the palace in months. I was keeping track of the number of months at one po

Kazia As we walked into the old-looking inn, the creaking wooden floors under our feet echoed through the dimly lit space. The scent of stale ale and cigarette smoke hung in the air, mingling with the low murmur of conversation. I couldn't help but notice the men seated at the open eatery, most looking unkempt, drunk, and rowdy. I hesitated, feeling a wave of uncertainty wash over me. Could Kavan really be in a place like this? I didn't know him well enough to judge, but as far as I was concerned, he was royalty, and I had doubts that someone like him, who has been pampered all his life, would have what it takes to stay in a place like this. I leaned closer to Iris, my voice barely above a whisper, "I don't want to sound ungrateful or anything, but I really don't think my friend would be in a place like this. It doesn't seem like a place where he can stay," I said, hoping I didn't sound picky. They had no idea that Kavan was royalty, but since I know he is, I really couldn't b
