“We need to let the alpha know that you are here. We may be able to arrange a funeral for them,” I tried to be nice and he gave a chuckle.

“You are trying to be nice, but it is not in your nature,” He added, seemingly to be amused by what he just saw.

“I am sorry, I have never been taught how to be sympathetic. I have been rogue since I was five,” I smiled at him and he frowned at me.

“Since you were five? Do you have a twin sister?”

That was a strange question. And why would he ask me that?

“Yes, I discovered that I have one recently. Why do you ask?” I needed to find out why he wanted to know this.

“And does she have different eye color than you?”

Why is he asking another question without answering mine? “Yes, why do you ask these questions?”

He smiled and stood up, he placed his gun back into his holster.

“There has been a legend about the twins. One is the embodiment of selfishness, the one causing her unhappiness. The other, a Feral, the embodiment of freedom, the one ru
