I am in a dark room with no light coming through. I can smell the other rogues around me. How did I end up here? What happened again?
“We were attacked. Naturally we defend ourselves,” I hear Suaco, my wolf, speak in my mind. Yeah, I remember now. We were busy hunting. We made sure to stay clear of the border of the pack we smelled close by. Why did they attack us?
“I don’t know. And we are not the only ones,” Suaco added and I try to focus in this room. I hate it when there is no light in a room. I can usually see fine in the dark. One of my perks as a werewolf. I can also smell a human close by.
“Wait, why is there a human nearby?” I asked out loud and heard her gasp behind me. I turned around. Dammit, I am struggling to see anything here.
“I am trying to get our eyes used to this, give me a second or two,” Suaco added and I waited patiently. I know our eyes will start to glo neon right about now.
I could smell the fear of the human behind me. My vision gets into focus and we have night vision going for us. This is an extra ability we have too. Suaco always said that we are made for stealth. We are fast, agile and can disappear into the shadows of anything. These abilities have made us excellent hunters.
At the moment I can not tell what her hair- or eye-colour is. Night vision does not allow me to see that at the moment. My eyes will hurt pretty bad if the light would come on right this moment though.
“Hello,” I attempted to speak to her. I saw her sitting on the floor against the wall, trying to hide herself from me. Her whole body is shaking and she is wounded. I can smell the fresh blood from her cuts. I don’t usually interact with others but I need to see how bad her wounds are.
I walked over to her and she jumped a bit at my touch. “Sorry, I just need to see how bad your wounds are,” I tell her what I am doing. She is not resisting me. She must be an omega or something.
“Shit, they are deep,” I slipped my tongue and I noticed chains on my, binding my ankles and wrists. Why am I not feeling this?
“This can be the reason why our night vision took a while to kick in. They must be silver chains delaying our powers,” Suaco gave her opinion and I can’t argue with it either. She is most of the time correct about these things.
I ripped my t-shirt a few times to get a few bandages for the wolfless girl with me in this cell. Yeah, we are in a cell, surrounded by silver bars. On each side of our cell are even more cages with more rogues in them.
Why did they put her in my cell? “Why did they put you in here? You are no Rogue,” I talked more to myself than anyone else.
“I am wolfless, I am useless,” she replied with a shaky voice. Dang, must suck to be in this pack.
“Let me check your wounds again,” I told her and this time she was even working with me by lifting up her shirt.
“This will take a few weeks to heal since you don’t have a wolf. I am so sorry about this,” I looked at her cuts and shook my heads in disappointment. She is naturally looking ahead of herself. Probably scared of looking me in the eyes.
“Why did they put you in my cage?” I asked, trying to get her calmer than she is right now.
“If you can look at the other cages there are other humans in with the rogues too. They are probably dead by now,” she responded and I took another look before I binded her wounds for her.
Oh, shit. She is right. There are lifeless bodies in every cell lying in a pool of their own blood. This must be why I picked up the human scent so strongly. “Dammit, what are these rogues? Monsters?” I asked and heard some of them growl. This frightened the wolfless girl.
“Don’t move. Stay right where you are. Don’t want you to go near the sides,” I added quickly as I looked back at her. She froze and I continued to get her wounds binded.
“What is your name?” I asked, trying to get her attention off everything that is going on with her right now.
“Emily Lune and yours?” She responded. I didn't think she would so quickly though.
“Lee, just Lee. I have been a rogue since I was five,” I responded, keeping the conversation going.
“Oh, wow. You don’t seem like the rogues I have seen so far in my life,” Emily also kept going with this.
“Yeah, I get that alot. I think it's because my wolf is an Alpha.”
“What? Really? An Alpha. So it is true that Alpha wolves can’t turn rogue?” Emily sounded impressed by this.
“Seems that way, yes,” I smiled at this. Not that she will see it.
“I did not turn yesterday on my 21st birthday either. So they threw me in here to be killed by the rogue that they threw in here too,” Emily finally gave the reason why she was in here. “They can’t even sell a wolfless girl as a slave to other packs,” she added sadly and at least we know what kind of pack we are dealing with.
“Oh, great. How did we get captured by a lame pack like this?” I spoke out loud and this caused Emily to giggle a bit. This is good. She has calmed down a bit and is semi looking at my eyes. Not fully making eye contact yet.
Suddenly my ears picked up shouting coming from outside. “Ah, I knew they would come,” we heard another female voice in another cell. We looked at her. She was standing close to the gate of her cell, looking ahead of herself into nothing. Probably seeing nothing just like the rest of them here.
She doesn’t look like one of us. Why is she here? I focused on Emily again and got her wounds binded so that they don’t bleed anymore.“What is she talking about?” Emily asked as I saw her standing up.
I touched her shoulder and led her to the gate. “We are hearing commotion outside,” I explained what was going on and Emily nodded.
“Yeah, my pack is here to rescue me,” the she-wolf in the other cell added. “They will probably kill all of you,” sounded like she was saying we deserve death.
“Watch it princess, we might get out and decide to kill you first!” A male responded to her and I growled in agreement.
“Yeah, my human is still alive. We might be able to get out of here before they appear,” I added and I saw Emily nod as she was touching the silver bars that I made her touch so that she could feel where she was.
“Mine is alive too,” the she-wolf added. She said it as if it was difficult to keep the wolfless alive. She sounds like an entitled person.
“Oh, it was open?” I heard Emily whisper with surprise in her voice.
“This does not feel right,” I say what Suaco is saying in my mind so that Emily can hear it too. Emily looked up at my eyes and she bit her lip. She is probably believing me on this since she has no wolf to rely on like I do. Suaco has kept us alive all these years. She is my life.
I heard someone at the door on our left and I pulled Emily away from the gate. She was holding onto the gate, so it closed again. “Sorry, someone is coming,” I whispered in her ear as I stopped at the back against the wall. Dammit this wall is cold. My body shivers at the touch of it.
Suddenly we heard a lock break and I smell the burning of gunpowder. The men entering are serious. “Get down,” I whispered again in Emily’s ear and I covered my body over hers, even if she is taller than me. The other rogues started to growl and launch themselves at the men entering. They don’t care about the pain the silver bars are causing them. Stupid things.
“Kill those that are attacking us with no regard to their own safety,” I heard a guy say and shots started to get fired. Emily shouted in fear and suddenly the shots stopped. “Get light on the cages!!” The man gave more orders and I covered my eyes as the flashlights started to awake.
“Delta Troy!” I heard what she-wolf said and this made me frown. Delta is not a usual position in a pack. She is sounding scared and relieved at the same time. But she is also sounding fake, like she is acting. I don’t think she was scared to begin with.
“Sandy, you can be glad that you are the King’s favourite. He would have left everybody else to die here,” the man named Troy responded with disgust. I take it he is not one of her fans. I glanced at her, she did not know what to say to his comment.
“Delta, we have one here that is just looking at us,” I heard a guy say and someone walking around.
“Are you going to attack us?” Delta Troy asked and I glanced in that direction.
I saw a light coming our way and I hid my eyes again. This is gonna hurt if the light falls on them while I am trying to see in the dark. “Dad, we have two more here,” I can see the light moving over our bodies.
I also heard the delta move again. The squeak of the gate too. The footsteps are getting closer. “She is injured badly. Can you help her?” I asked as I let them see Emily first since they are not attacking us first.
Delta Troy is an older guy. He has grey short hair and grey eyes. Over his left eye he has a scar. I would say he is between the age of 40 and 50. Maybe 45, right in the middle of that range. He is much bigger than I am. Over 6 ft for sure.
My eyes have strated to adjust if I can see colors again.
I stepped away from them so that he could look at Emily. I watched as he looked at her wounds. “You did good with binding them,” he commented before nodding at someone at the door. That person rushed out suddenly.
“We will have someone here to help you,” Delta Troy spoke to Emily. Her body was shaking a bit but responded with a few nods. “Are you alright?” Delta Troy got up and he looked at me.
“Now is our change!” I heard Suaco shout and I let my iron blades appear out of thin air. This is one of my powers. “I am fine, thanks for the rescue!” I swing at him. He dodged it just in time, but when he wanted to stretch his hand out to me I was at the gate of the cell.
I dodged everyone else. Here and there one is getting a cut from me. I rushed up the stairs and saw keys in the door. I grabbed them before going outside. Urg, this is hurting my eyes. No one has noticed us outside yet and those inside will be on us soon. “Roof,” Suaco made me look up and I jumped up.
This is taking too much strength. We need to take these chains off as soon as possible. We almost fell as we barely made the jump. Luckily I can pull myself up with pure muscle strength. We roll onto the roof just in time too. I glanced over the edge at the group that had exited the dungeon entrance.
Okay, time to get this chain off. I sat up and started to check what key will work on this. Finally at the tenth key the chains fell open and I was released. I moved to the back of the building, scanning the distance we have to run for us to be in the woods again. It is not that far. I even look around to make sure that no one is around us. The scene looks clear. I move back to the front and through the keys far, into the area where there are more men.
I ran to the back and jumped off, but just as I was about to land, someone grabbed me by the neck and with incredible force, bashed me against the ground. Air is leaving my lungs, but I will not die here! Where did this guy come from!
I slashed at him with my right hand first, but he grabbed it, causing me to drop the knife. He placed his body weight on my middle, is he sitting on me? I slashed with my left hand next, but he released my neck and grabbed that hand, letting that knife fall too.
“Don’t shift!!” I heard him command. That was my next thing and I can feel I can't. What? How?
“Suaco?” I asked as I tried to shift.
“He is the Lycan King. Even rogues can’t reject him,” she responded and suddenly tried to get air into my lungs.
“Calm down,” Suaco added and I am trying to get calm so that I can breathe again.
My head is hurting. Did I hit my head that hard? My wrists are aching. Is he holding me that tightly? I growl at the guy and now I will try to bite him. His cold light blue eyes are just staring at me. “Alpha, she is…” I heard the Troy guy running to us.
“Get something to close her mouth and bind her,” the guy sitting on me spoke. “Be careful she bites,” he added as Troy brought a thick rope with him. Why would that guy just have this kind of rope with him?
I tried to bite him but he used that opportunity to get the rope into my mouth. I tried to struggle with my body again, but males are always so strong. And the king guy is holding my wrists in such a way that I can’t let more daggers appear out of thin air. This is frustrating.
Another guy is putting silver chains on me again with a collar this time. The chains are braided just like the collar. They look pretty. If I were a human, I might have worn this as jewellery. I tried to scratch the guy but the king growled and caused me to stop trying.
I looked at him again, growling. Showing my already exposed teeth. His eyes focused on them, probably because I can make them sharp even in my human form. I can do a lot of things in human form, like making my nails sharp or letting my hand become paw-like. Or make my legs animal like so that I can run better as a human.
Lee“Take her to the truck,” the king stood up, pulling me up by my collar. What? This is not burning him? These silver chains and collar are even more pure than the ones I just got off. They are burning me. I can feel them. I glared with hatred at the guy with the cold, lifeless light blue eyes. He was just looking at me as if I was nothing. “How many surrendered?” The king guy asked as we all walked back to the buildings. I can’t help but cough at the moment. That was a hard grab to my neck too. Even breathing air into my lungs is painful. I think a rib or two are broken. “I am struggling to heal it,” Suaco let me know and I knew why. The bloody chains and collar. As we got pulled to our feet, they tied rope around my wrists with the chains. They are making sure that I can’t escape again. Why do they want a rogue anyway? We did not bother anyone before. We hunted in the no man lands and no one dared to attack us, not even other rogues. “Yeah, you will. This bloody silver is burnin
LeeI let my head rest against the back of my chair and I looked out of the window. They did not place anyone next to me. I believe they are wary of me. Can’t blame them, I will attack them and try to escape again. I watched as the trees flashed by the window. What is going to happen to us from now on?“Will we be able to be on our own again?” I heard Suaco ask and I took a breath in as I looked at the trees.“I don’t know. He was the only guy ever to have pinned me down like that,” I responded as I remembered the physical strength I felt he had used on me. As a rogue, that kind of behaviour from males is not a surprise. I expected it from him.I felt he was going to kill me but that suddenly changed too. I don’t know why though. I swear I could feel the hatred from him that I was about to die. That guy is scary in reality. Now that I am calm and thinking about things. I was an idiot to try and resist him like I tried to, or kill him. He was stronger and overpowered me easily with no
LeeDammit, I was able to shift, but our speed is broken. Everytime our paws hit the ground, it sends a shock of pain through our body. He will catch up to us in no time. Dammit, why can’t he just leave us alone? Let us go! Let us be! We are born to be free!I suddenly felt weight on us and we hit the ground. Fuck. The impact was quick and the strength I feel on top of me is sort of amazing. Wait! Why am I thinking this way? No, these are not my thoughts! Why is my body suddenly feeling aroused?“Why are we aroused by this?” I heard Sauco shout in our mind and I have no idea. “How should I know! You are the wolf part of me!” I replied as I am trying to get control over my body’s reaction to this power I am feeling trying to over power me.I can feel him pushing me to shift and turn human. If I do that, I will be naked under his body. The thought of him seeing me naked is making me even more excited. “No! We can not allow this!” Sauco shouted back, trying to resist him. Fuck, dammit!
Lee“Okay, all done. Your wolf is pretty strong. I am impressed,” Debs made a note in her file as she sat at her table again. I wrapped myself in the blanket again. “You can turn around again, Alpha,” Debs spoke and the King guy turned around, looking at us.Debs introduced herself as Debby and told me to call her Debs. She asked me a bunch of questions and I answered them as honestly as I can since I don’t really know about all the things she asked. She did not seem surprised when I told her I have never been to a doctor or a hospital in my whole life.“Oh, before I forget, Lee. For how long have you been a rogue?” Debs got me out of my thoughts. I looked up at her as I was staring at the floor while I was thinking about things.“Since I was five,” I replied. Both of them suddenly looked at me surprised. The King guy was frowning obviously. “How did you become a rogue?” He asked and I don’t feel like answering him. “Lee, you will have to answer him. We need to know this information
Lee My alarm shouted in my ear this morning. I never had to use an alarm before. Where is the damn thing? I am trying to silence it while I am keeping my eyes closed. Urg, I can’t find it. I opened my right eye slightly only to see a screen on. Right, I got a cellphone now. I took a deep breath as I sat up and grabbed it from my night stand. Someone groaned in the room and I looked up. That is also right. I have a roommate now and she is apparently a heavy sleeper. Which is a good thing, I think. The cell phone already has my training schedule on it. I need to attend these training sessions if I don't want to die. One way of getting me up so early. They also want to see where I fit in the best. I got up and changed into a sports bra, t-shirt and shorts touching my knees. I am not used to wearing shoes. I will just take the socks and shoes with me just in case they want me to use it. For the first time in a very long time I can put my fingers through my hair without it getting caught
Lee We walk closer to the scent as quietly as we can. It is just as we thought. It is a rotting corpse. It has been eaten though. By the teeth marks we would say it is a wolf. Can’t tell by the rotting corpse what the wolf was. A real one or a rogue. We did not find this corpse very far from the border and looked back at Gix. He started to move closer too. He smelled the corpse and looked around. Wonder if he is thinking the same as we do. We moved a bit away from the corpse and sniffed the ground to get scents around the corpse. There it is, the rogue scent of a rogue nearby. It has not started to fade. The rogue has been back to his kill recently. We looked at Gix and he growled. The rest started to go back on the path we followed. Troy and his son joined us. The prey is left in a small clearing. About ten meters from where we are standing and where the treeline opposite us begins again. Why is there a rogue this close to this border? The rogue scent is leading that way. “My rid
Lee After hours of torturing the soul, his body dropped to the ground. Lifeless. I have slit his throat. I looked at his body, feeling nothing. Why did they attack the Lycan King’s Pack? Well, they were stupid in the first place. Their reasons are not worthy of losing lives over. They wanted easy food. Please. Miles away from this place is an area full of fauna for them to hunt. Going through packs might not be the smartest way to get there either. You will need to stay in the No Man’s Land area, away from borders as you travel to that spot. What an idiot. I turned around and saw Carla looking at me. Oh, shit. I forgot about her. I am surprised she did not run back to the pack with the rest. She is pale and I can see her shaking a bit. “Hey, are you alright?” I asked as I took a step closer to her. She backed away from me and tripped. She fell on her bum. Ah, she is scared. Can’t blame her. Living in a pack with security your whole life must be nice. “You will need to get used to
Lee I must say, this dress makes me feel cute. “Oh, hey, Lee. Glad to see you came back. Can I ask you to go up to the 9th floor and fetch Zurig for us please?” Troy suddenly stopped me at the stairs as I was about to head down. I gave a nod and turned back. On the opposite side of the stairs is an elevator taking us up to ten floors. I heard the ninth floor is the office floor and the boardroom for serious meetings. On the tenth floor the toys and Zurig have their rooms. I pressed the button for the ninth floor and I looked at everyone as they all were beginning to go down for the party that was being held in one of the bigger rooms we have in the castle. Apparently if you walk past the stair, there are hallways leading you to bigger rooms. They are ballroom-like rooms. The elevator opened on the ninth floor and I stepped out. Someone else is needing the elevator at the moment. I saw the floor number light up as I got out. There is a boardroom on my right. It is behind glass wall
MitneIt has been 18 months since we arrived in the Demon Kingdom. I have become the alpha of Lee’s pack and now I am standing in the pouring rain of her grave. She died in a fight against rogue demon wolves. Who knew fighting them would be so much different than fighting normal rogues. I have a 9 month old little girl in my arms. The Demon King promised he would financially help me with her expenses over the years, but I should please raise her as if she was my own. I never had a daughter and being given one feels so different. My heart aches at the thought that Lee would never see her smile ever again or see her growing up. This was not how we saw our lives go. In the arms of the Demon King, a newborn is lying peacefully asleep. Ah, yes. The reason tse died. Nobody knows how the rogues got into the castle,I suspect that a jealous she-wolf that the king slept with before marrying Lee allowed them to enter the territory and guided them to her room where she defended the life of her n
Lee“Alright, what are they?” The king asked, and I looked at my pack before looking at him again. “Firstly, I want a land of our own,” I started with the first thing that came to my mind. The king narrowed his eyes at me, almost as if he did not expect me to ask something like this. “Okay, what else?” His eyes were suspicious of me suddenly. “We would like to stay in the castle until the day of our wedding, each having their own room if possible,” I asked, and he suddenly nodded.“All your conditions can be met. You will only need one night in the castle. We will have the wedding tonight. My omegas are quite formidable when it comes to organizing things on short notice,” it sounded like he was bragging about his workers-class. “Oh, but you won’t be able to be on the land of your pack since you will be my wife,” He suddenly added, and I already knew that.“I am aware of that. Since I am going to be your wife, that makes me queen, right?” I just have to clarify something before I s
KotharWith the demon princess on the way, I have to get a way to change our destinies. I should choose a mate. If I bond with someone I choose, I will not bond with her. Yes, that is perfect! I need to find a female who is strong enough to withstand my demon side. Yes, I am a love child between a demon and an alpha she-wolf. Demons don't get soul mates. My father was a rare case. He had a wolf soulmate. Fenrir, our Wolf God of Chaos, made it possible. Taking what was not meant to be and making it meant to be. He is the God we serve and praise since we don’t have a demon wolf god of our own like the werewolves and Lycans have their moon goddess. We made Fenrir our Wolf God since he is Chaos. Perfect for demon wolves like ourselves. Right back to a female who can withstand me. I steal the life force of anyone I sleep with. This is my demonic power. I can steal it from anyone without sleeping with them, too. Almost like a vampire, but I don’t need to physically feed from them. I can j
Kothar‘In the heart of the lycan kingdom, an unnamed princess emerged into a world colored by the silvery glow of the moon. Born of royal wolf and royal lycan blood, her existence bore the weight of an ancient curse—an ethereal shadow that clung to her soul, intertwining her destiny with the mysteries of the night. This unnamed princess, shrouded in the moon's radiant light, navigated the intricacies of her dual heritage. The curse, a spectral presence within her, cast a shadow upon her lineage, marking her as an anomaly in the tapestry of royal bloodlines. Yet, despite the darkness that lingered, her spirit remained untouched by the curse's malevolence. As she grew, the unnamed princess became a beacon of innocence and purity, a living contradiction to the shadows that threatened to engulf her. Her laughter echoed through the stone corridors of the lycan palace, a melody that resonated with the hearts of those who beheld her. The lycan subjects, captivated by her untamed radiance, c
LeeShit, shit, shit. He reached us quicker than I would have liked. How the hell did he catch up to us so quickly? We made sure to keep going, even though we are tired from not sleeping much. This is bad. “Shift! He is gaining on us!!” Mitne shouted, and we all did just that. We all leaped into the air and shifted. The smuggler did the same, and his friend got on him as they ran.“Would he cross the border?” The new smuggler asked, and truth be told, I think he would. I gave a nod in response to his question. The human smuggler looked behind us, and I could see on his face that Zurig was still coming. “Oh, boy. The Demon King will not be happy about this. What can be the reason for running away from the Lycan king?” He asked in a panic as we all started to speed up.‘Samantha, jump over to me. I can handle a rider,” I let my saddle appear, and she jumps to me, grabbing onto the saddle and pulling herself up. She was dragging her father down a bit since we still need to run at full s
ZavierAs I expected. The king wouldn't be able to track her without my help. I can’t help but smile at this. Predicament the king finds himself in. I knew my guy made it hard for even the best of noses to follow their scents. I heard the knock on my door and let them enter. "My king, welcome. Have a seat, and how much is her whereabouts to you?" I went straight to the reason why he is here. "How much did she pay?" The king asked, and I knew he would. He is smart overall. I smiled at him."Well, it was not what she paid, but what she had to offer me," I placed the briefcase with the knives in it on my desk. I opened it up and let the king look at it with his hands. "Poison magic. Wolfbane and something else to make the process even more agonizing. This does sound like her. She likes to torture her enemies," the king does know a lot about the girl. I am still curious as to why he is after her. "This is truly a piece of work I can not top. All I have to give you is money," The king l
ZurigWhomever is helping Lee escape me did a fantastic job at making us lose her scent in the parking lot. There have been so many people parked here that it is impossible to track the car they got into. And everyone is likely going in the same direction. There is not a car that trailed off or crossed the parking lot like a maniac either. Tracking the vehicle she got into is not going to be easy. 'That City Alpha looked like a guy that can be bought,' one of the other two trackers spoke. I turned to him and didn't even notice that about the Alpha. It is true that his smile was a bit off setting. Almost fox-like. 'You think money will make him talk?' I asked as I looked at the cars driving past. 'I think we can. Do you know how to get a hold of him?' Shua asked, and I looked around again. My eyes fell on a guy standing nearby. They have sunglasses on and with a cigarette in his mouth. They don't seem out of place. By the scent, I could tell that he is part of the city wolves. 'I'll
LeeWhat the alpha said about the price for information is getting to me a little bit. "You should get some rest, Lee," Mitne drew my attention from the window I was looking through. "I know. I am just a bit concerned about what that guy said about information for the right price," I share my thoughts. "Ah, yes. Unfortunately, that is how they do business. Every pack needs to have something to keep money coming in, and they share information with a price. They are the only ones that can get us in and out of the demon kingdom. We have no choice but to use them for our benefit. Unfortunately," Mitne explained, which I understood. Now that I know about the demon continent, I can not see it on maps either. It felt like we were driving for hours and hours. "Okay, from here we are gonna walk. Is everyone up for that?" The driver stopped at a clearling. He stopped in a parking lot that seemed to be the starting point for many hiking routes and trails to be taken into the woods. "Yeah, w
Zurig'Her scent is faint, my king. I will be able to track her, though.' Shua looked at me as she sniffed around. "Okay, let's shift and get moving," I let the other two trackers in her team know what we are going to do now. I gave Vutha a nod, giving him the go-ahead to take charge and sent runners with flyers of Lee on them to the whole kingdom. Vutha bowed before handing me my bag. I took it and went behind a tree to shift. Even Lycans need to spare their clothes. In my lycan form, I can still put away my clothes in the bag. Zip it up and get it on my back. The bag is designed that way.We started to run in the direction Shua's nose was taking us. We are luckily fast, and they are the best tracking team amongst all the teams we have. We stopped inside the tree line. We are looking at a diner across the road. There are a lot of humans there. I can even smell them. We shifted to our human forms and got across to the diner. Shua led us to the door and suddenly stopped. She looked
