A few days later Symphony was training with Gavin and the uneasy feeling came back. It had distracted her enough that Gavin was able to perform a sneak attack on her and she missed it and hit the ground hard. When she got up, she scanned the area and didn’t see anything.Gavin noticed her distraction and questioned her about it. She told him about the uneasy feeling that she was getting again, and he told her to go see Alexander and tell him. He also told her that they were done with training for the day as he was going to go on a run to check the perimeter.She headed inside and was met with the smell of peppermint. While the threat of the rogue alpha still loomed over Alexander and Symphony, they decided that it was best to hold off on the mating ceremony. While Jaxson was putting the plan together to take over the Lycan kingdom, Symphony slowly started to stir. She felt like she had been hit by a semi-truck. She opened her eyes and took in her surroundings. She wasn’t sure where she was but when her eyes landed on Jaxson, she knew she shouldn’t let him know that she was awake.She remembered the attack after Alexander left, she remembered Gavin telling her to run, and she remembered her home going up into flames. Symphony had rested until morning and when she was sure the coast was clear she headed back out. She assumed that Jaxon and his men had given up their search for her and that the people from Grey Moon Pack were gone as well.She looked up at the sky and noticed that the sun was just rising. While Symphony and Alexander lay in bed snuggled together, back at the cabin Jaxon was seething with fury. He had lost his wild card, his secret weapon, his queen. He thought his men would catch up to Symphony before she got to the river. She was faster than he thought. While Alexander waited for Symphony to wake up, he had men rebuilding his house that was destroyed. He wanted to have it done when Symphony woke up, he didn’t want her to be stuck in the safe house.He checked in with the doctors every day and even though she was strong and had no major injuries she was still in a catatonic state. The doctors couldn’t figure out why. Alexander had guards posted outside of her room and surrounding the hospital, he didn’t want any surprises. He went to visit her every day and brought her flowers so she would have something nice to look at when she woke up.
