4. Coming to her rescue

Today marked the third day after the incident that had happened to me and I had recovered a great deal as well. The wounds were gone and the herbs had managed to take their course in my recovery.

William had insisted that I share a bed with a woman to help me heal faster but I couldn't. Not with the thoughts of that woman brooding in my thoughts.

I couldn't get her off my mind and I always imagined what she looked like and how I would meet her again.

William had tried all he could to find her but he hadn't gotten any lead on where she could be. It's almost like she had disappeared into thin air.

I wish that I could see her and probably thank her for saving my life but I don't even know where to start from in looking.

"What are you going to do about the wolf hunters that had been terrorizing our land Alpha King?" Dylan, one of the members of the court spoke up, piercing into my deep hazel word.

I had drifted off that I almost forgot that I was in a meeting with the elders of the council.

Turning to face them, I spoke "I have set up a meeting with Alpha Cullman of the blood moon pack. On my next visit to his land tomorrow, we will discuss further on what to do next. William will accompany me and I will make sure to bring feedback on how our journey went."

"Why do you want to go Alpha King?" Another chirped in. "You are our King and you just barely recovered with your life. I suggest that you rest while someone else fills in for you instead."

"Reece is right Alpha King" Another chimed in.

"I support to that motion as well" and another.

"Me too."

And another till the entire court room was openly making claims to the notion as well.

I raised up my hand and they all fell silent.

"I know that you all mean well but this is my fight as much as it's yours and I would like to take this trip on my own. Should in case anything happens to any of you, I would be hurt the most so please let me fulfill my duties, Reece would fill in for me in my absence. Dismiss."

They all nodded In approval and made their way outside the court room in a single file.

William chose that particular moment to approach me.

"Are you sure that you want to do this Asher?" William inquired with a straight face "Dylan was right, I could go and–"

"I'm going and that's settled William so please don't try to talk me out of it."

"Alright then."

I knew that I could easily send someone to go on my behalf but I wanted to do this on my own and besides, I don't want to be locked up thinking about a woman that I might never see ever again.

"Tomorrow, there will be a meeting coming up and the pack is hosting it. That goes to say that you'll be serving about fifty to hundred people on that day and of course, I want you to make sure that everything is settled and I don't want any mistakes"

I remembered my uncle's words now as I woke up by 4am in the morning to start cooking.

I was going to spend at least five hours on food this time, I knew it. This was not merely for the pack but it was food for wolves who would be coming from other packs for the meeting.

I couldn't help imagining my typical day when I could sleep for however long as I liked without interruptions, but instead of that, I was here, already awake at 4am in preparation for a festival that wasn't even my business.

As I cooked, I cleaned the kitchen too, scrubbing the floors clean as I also folded the clothes I had washed previous days back.

I was sweating profusely as I ran around. It was already 12 in the afternoon and I was wearing the only other clothes that I had. They barely fit, they were so large that it felt like I had been thrown into the clothes.

These were the clothes that my aunt had thrown at me early this morning after I was done cooking.

I ran around refilling glasses of drinks for wolves whom I did not recognise but the ones that recognised me were even worse. They hit my butt as I turned my back to them in a sexual way, I couldn't ask them not to do it, it would be counted as disrespect and I would be punished severely by my uncle.

Even with the terrible clothes I was wearing, my ass still stood out. Despite the beatings and maltreatments I had gone through, still, I had grown prettily in my time in this pack and my figure made the she wolves jealous and the males horny. Severally, I was sexually harassed by Ryan, my uncle's son, he would shove me to the wall at the laundry room and put his hands on me.

At other times, he would order me to go down on him, but I always refused.

Ryan was the bane of my existence in this pack, I hated that I was powerless and I could not resist his power, being the puny human that I was.

"Where the fuck is she..?" I heard someone growl close to the kitchen, when I looked and met his eyes, quickly I lowered it. I gritted my teeth and swore under my breath. I had finally finished serving and was about to take a short break but nope nope! This bastard.

Soon, I was at his side in no time. Instead of saying anything, he held my arm roughly and pulled me to the laundry room, which was quiet and serene, the sounds of the arguments from the meeting here, was very minimal.

At his shove against the wall, I noticed belatedly that Ryan had a boner. He had never fucked me, so I didn't expect him to fuck me or want to. He must have wanted me to go down on him again.

He pushed me down to my knees and opened his zipper waiting, but I shook my head. I wasn't going to do this. "No" I voiced out in a small voice.

"Let me go Ryan" I screamed out.

His dick was limp in a few seconds after, he was kicking me in my back and stomach angrily at my refusal and I just cradled my head hoping that it didn't get cracked open by mistake or something.

"Get the hell away from her" A deep loud voice growled as I heard the approach of another wolf.

Who was it this time? Another wolf that wanted me all to himself or perhaps a savior?
