I did not believe it but here it was. Happening before my very eyes. She ran into the arms of her mate whose eyes were transfixed on me, he refused to stop staring at me and I didn't stop staring back. A taunting smirk was spread across my face as I watched him move about restlessly, obviously pained by the whole thing he was seeing.

No sane man wouldn't be pained by that kind of thing though. I decided to keep my cool and see what he would do. He turned to look at his mate again and his heart sank. I knew it from the way he looked. He wasn't pleased a bit and I guessed he was looking for the perfect way to retaliate.

I couldn't stop wishing for my father, perhaps things wouldn't have been this hard if he was here. They seemed to be equally matched as none of them were able to defeat the other. It always ended with both sides receiving the same amount of injuries. But the present situation was a whole thing altogether.
