The moment the door closed behind us, I turned to my brother, lifting an eyebrow in question. “What do we do now?”

“Make lunch for her.” He lifted his shoulders in a shrug. “What else do you have in mind?”

“Are we just letting things slide? Do you intend to pretend that everything is okay without doing anything?” I slammed my fist on the wall, growling at him. I knew my eyes must be golden, showing the emotions swirling in them.

Fred puffed out a breath, staring at me with a hooded expression, with his head tilted to the side as he observed me. His eyes trailed me from my head to my toes before it returned to my eyes. “Our Bunny just woke up. The least we could do was make lunch for her. We will talk about other things later.”

“What if I want to do that now?” I stepped in front of him. “The more time we waste, the farther that bastard goes!”
