He won't hurt you

I tossed on the bed, groaning at the sharp pain in my shoulders and lower abdomen. Yesterday had been a kind of adventure, but I was paying dearly for it at the moment. After I slept off, I woke up late at night to discover I was still joined with my mates. It was the most painful thing ever, and when I finally succumbed to another round of slumber, I couldn't be more grateful for the reprieve.

Waking up now felt like hell. My lower abdomen hurts. I couldn't even feel my legs. And let's not forget the throbbing pain in my shoulders.

I perked my eyes open, expecting to see my mates, only to discover I was alone on the vast bed. Sobbing, I closed my eyes once more, willing myself to return to sleep, believing the pain would disappear by the time I opened my eyes again. Sleep eluded me. Having slept for over 10 hours, my eyes were reluctant to visit the land of slumber again.

Sighing, I sank my face into the pillow, mourning my faith. Lying with my face down, the only discomfort
