As soon as we finished with breakfast , Mariam, Mira and my mom swooped in and kidnapped me . Dragged me into the elevator and towards the west wing. Which was Mariam’s side of the house.

We entered a room and the vanity was covered with a lot of skin care and hair care products.

My eyes widened. I cringed at what the next seven hours holds for me.

“We are going to make you glow!” They squealed and giggled.

“No I’m not doing this” I turned ready to head out when my mom grabbed my arms “You’re not going anywhere, Ems”

“My skin is smooth and flawless. Besides we have about eight hours to the ceremony ...... why the rush?“

“We have a lot of things to do in this eight hours. We first need to get you waxed, sugar scrub and black charcoal mask”
