Third person POV

The sun cast its golden rays through the uncovered windows, illuminating the room. Katherine and Nathaniel lay entwined in his bed, lost in a deep slumber. The murmur of packmates outside gradually penetrated Katherine's consciousness, and she stirred.

Blinking slowly, Katherine adjusted to the bright light. "Damn, we forgot to close the curtains," she whispered, her voice husky from sleep.

As she turned toward Nathaniel, his warm breath and intoxicating scent enveloped her. His hand still wrapped possessively around her waist, holding her close. Katherine's thoughts drifted to the previous night, and a delicate blush spread across her cheeks.

Though they hadn't crossed any boundaries, Nathaniel's desire for her was undeniable. The gentle caress of his tongue on her skin, the tender bite marks on her neck – not a mate mark, just a playful claim – left her tingling.
