The Woodland Pack bustled with activity, preparing for the inauguration of their new alpha, Kilo.

Meanwhile, Nathaniel lay in his room, his condition worsening with each passing day. He had kept it a secret, hiding his struggles from the rest.

Kilo was torn. He tried to convince the packmates that he wasn't the ruler they wanted, but they wouldn't listen. He didn't want to disappoint his mother, who had always dreamed of him leading the pack.

Nathaniel's door creaked open, revealing an unlikely duo: Lena and Emilia. Their animosity towards each other was well-known, making their joint visit all the more surprising.

Lena's blunt words cut through the tension. "You smell like death," she said, sitting beside Nathaniel. He laughed bitterly, his eyes locked on hers.

Lena's boldness had grown, and she never hesitated to speak her mind to Nathaniel. "Thank you for stating the obvious, Lena. Nathaniel, we need to get you help," Emilia urged, concern etched on her face.
