Stellan's POV

Even Arlo, who's often reserved and hardly shows any emotion on his face aside from disapproval, is caught off guard by the news and glances in shock. I find it quite amusing.

I steel myself as I get ready to say the most controversial words they'll probably ever hear in their lifetime.

"It is my plan to marry her and make her my queen," I add, my gaze locking with each and every one of them.

At first, the throne room is filled with a loud impregnable silence as the men try to process the information I had just shared.

As expected, Arlo is the first to break the silence as he chuckles nervously, like I had just made a joke.

"Surely, Your Majesty, you're just teasing us," Arlo says, trying to bring some amusement to the situation. "Forgive me for saying this but your joke didn't quite catch on. Besides, such matters shouldn't be spoken of so lightly."

I give him a small smile, appreciating his attempt to lighten the mood. "Arlo, you've known me for a long time," I reply,
