Chapter 27: The Twist

I gulped down into nothing as I watched her run away in tears. I have once again broken her heart.

I turned to Jessica who chuckled darkly. "You planned that, right?" I asked in a cold and angry tone as I snapped my head toward her direction.

"It's quite unfortunate that you're running after a lady who doesn't love or trust,"

"If she does trust you, she wouldn't have believed what she saw. I'm pretty sure she thought you kissed me," she said and laughed again.

"Why can't you forget about her and move on? Aren't I beautiful enough? Please give me a chance in your life again," she said and rubbed her hand on my chest with a seducing smile on her face.

I glared at her and pushed her hand away.

"I'll get back to you," I threatened and walked away.

"Alessia," I called repeatedly as I ran after her.

She didn't turn back to give me a chance to explain myself. I don't know if there's a chance to justify myself because she saw us kissing. She doesn't know that it was a set-up.
