LYZA

I woke up in the softest bed I’ve ever slept on. The sheets were cool against my skin, and I felt so comfortable that I didn’t want to move. The sun was streaming in through the window, and I could see the city skyline outside. This hotel was too luxurious and I liked it but I couldn’t deny how good it felt to be pampered.

My thoughts immediately drifted to Dante, I knew he had a deep connection with Anna, though I don’t know the whole story yet. He was the reason why I was here. I had to complete Anna’s mission and take revenge on people who made Anna’s life hell. But as much as I wanted to focus on my mission, my mind kept going back to Dante. I knew that he and Anna had a special connection, and I couldn’t help but feel drawn to him too.

But I just couldn’t trust him completely. He might be playing me, since he looks like a heartbreakerI had to keep my guard up and not let my emotions cloud my judgment.

I got out of bed and headed to the bathroom. The marble floor was cold aga

LYZA "It's okay, Nico. I understand," I replied, trying to sound as friendly as possible. Nico's smile turned into a bittersweet one, and I could see a hint of sadness in his eyes. "I thought you were Anna from afar. We've been friends since we were kids." I could tell that Nico missed Anna dearly, and it broke my heart. I wanted to help him, but I didn't know how. All I knew was that I needed to complete my mission to honor Anna's memory. "I'm sorry for your loss," I said softly, hoping it would offer him some comfort. Nico's expression softened, and he thanked me before we started talking about Anna. As we talked, I felt a sense of familiarity with Nico. It was like we had known each other for a long time, even though we had just met. I couldn't explain it, but I felt comfortable around him. “Anyway, can I invite you for brunch? What’s your name again, Miss?” “I’m Lyza Pressman. And sure, I’m not eating yet either,” I said. The restaurant that Nico brought me to was a fine-d

DANTEI stirred in my sleep, a dream pulling me from the depths of unconsciousness. There she was, Anna, my love, my fated mate. In the dream, we were happy, complete. The sun bathed us in its warm embrace, and I couldn't help but be captivated by the sparkle in Anna's eyes.As I leaned in to capture her lips with mine, a sweet taste of anticipation on my tongue, the dream dissolved like vapor. DANTE I stepped into my private office, a space that reflected the aura of authority and power I had acquired over the years. The room exuded an air of sophistication, adorned with sleek, dark wood furniture and adorned with tasteful artwork. The scent of leather and freshly brewed coffee lingered in the air, creating an atmosphere of productivity and focus. It was my sanctuary, a place where I could escape the demands of the world and immerse myself in the intricacies of running the Rossi Group of Companies and from my father’s demands. Before leaving for the office earlier, I took a long, hot shower, hoping to wash away the weight of regret that seemed to cling to my soul. Water cascaded over my weary body, the steam enveloping me in its comforting embrace. As the droplets fell, I couldn't help but think of Anna, the love of my life. I wished I could have protected her from the clutches of my malevolent father, but alas, I had failed. Regret gnawed at my heart, a constant companion

Please join me tonight," Leonora's voice carried a touch of wistfulness.I let out a sigh. Seeing Darlyn was the last thing I desired, given the tumultuous history between us. However, I couldn't find it within me to refuse the kind-hearted woman who had treated me like a son. There was an undeniable respect I held for her."Will Darlyn be there?" I cautiously inquired, hoping for a negative response.Reassurance laced Leonora's voice as she answered, "No, Dante. It will only be Seth and me. Darlyn won't be here tonight. I didn’t invite her! Lyza was never late, let alone two hours late for an important meeting like this. LYZAI made my way towards the meeting place with Dante, when a voice called out my name, causing me to turn in surprise. My eyes fell upon an elderly man standing a few feet away. His weathered appearance spoke volumes of a life filled with hardship and struggle. Yet, despite his disheveled appearance, I held no judgment, for I had learned never to judge someone based on their external circumstances.Approaching the old man with genuine curiosity, I offered a polite smile. “Hi! Is there something I could help you with, sir?” His eyes crinkled with a hint of warmth as he returned my smile. He mentioned feeling honored to see me in person and spoke of hearing favorable compliments about me within the Black Pearl Pack. “By the way, my name is Philip. The woman's arms shot out, encircling Darlyn in a tight embrace. Darlyn recoiled, a mixture of disgust and irritation twisting her features."What are you doing, old woman?"
