That morning at Pack Blackmoon's Healer Center, Luke slowly opened his eyes. His vision was still blurry, but he could feel the distinctive scent of herbal spices filling the room. The sound of the wind gently rustling in through the open window, provided a coolness that was usually soothing. However, not today. Her feelings were so chaotic, her mind kept thinking about Rebecca and Lucas. He had been lying here for several days, his body weak after the fierce battle that almost took his life. But the physical pain was nothing compared to the agony he felt in his heart.

Heavily, Luke lifted his body, sitting on the cold bed. He gazed out the window, watching the early morning sun rise, casting a warm orange tinge across the sky.

"I need to get out of here," Luke muttered to himself. Images of Rebecca's face and Lucas' smile continued to haunt his mind.
