It was a quiet night, but in the clearing in the middle of the forest, tension hung in the air. The light of the large, silver full moon shone brightly, reflecting off the faces of the assembled werewolf pack. They all stood in silence, watching with suspense what was about to happen.

Emily stood before Luke and Rebecca, her tears streaming down her pale cheeks. Her heart broke into pieces after hearing the words of rejection from Luke-the man who was destined to be her soul mate, but chose to be faithful to another woman. The pain she felt was tangible, piercing to the bone.

"Luke..." whispered Emily with a voice that almost broke, looking at him with a gaze full of hurt. "Why did you reject our destiny? We were supposed to be together. You were supposed to be my soul mate."

Luke took a deep breath, his face tense but firm. "Emily, I know you feel that bond. I feel it too. But I've already made my choice. I love Rebecca and our child. This destiny may be ours, but my heart
