"What the hell?"

Madeline tried to peer out at the jacket but Trevon yanked her back.

The window zipped shut in an instant.

"You!"

Trevon met her glare with a cool shrug. "That jacket's fabric is too delicate, and it's toast if it gets wet. It'd be useless to keep it."

"You can't just toss it! It's Caleb's, not yours to throw away."

"I'll just buy him a new one. No big deal."

Madeline was so mad she could bite him. It was not about the money! Did Trevon even get the concept of common courtesy?

With an annoyed click of his tongue, Trevon whipped out his phone, found Caleb's contact, and sent him two hundred thousand dollars.

Trevon replied, [Your jacket. Consider it bought.]

Caleb and Madeline sighed internally.
