The Wait 2

Grace POV

It had been one whole day since Sebastian had left to handle some buisness and it gave me and my wolves an unsetteling feeling, was he really handling buisness or was someone else in his interests. 

All I could think about was him having another in his life or Cherry, she was left all alone around people that she didnt know how to communicate with. My boss had called me earlier and told me that he would check on my house and would get back to me when he was able to go and check on it for me.

I informed him about me being away on an important pack assignment and that I was probably be gone for a while so he had his receptionist send over the documents to my email so I could access them on any computer. 

I worked in the packhouse library as I waited for Sebastian to come home so I could speak to him about my house, I was lost in the maze of data that I was not aware of the texts that I was recieving on my phone. 

I was pulled from my job when my phone rang and a frantic Abbie was on the other end telling me about the house and how it was left empty, she feared that Cherry left the door unlocked when she left the towne to venture back to the old pack. 

Panic arrised inside of me that my friend had left to the old pack, did she think I abandonded her? Sadness filled my heart that my only friend was now with my former alpha and she was probably not going to be happy about me not going back for her.

Anxiety hit me like a brick as I paced inside the library near my seat as I began to look for the beta of the pack. I needed to leave and find Cherry as soon as possible. She was probably all alone..they would never allow us back if we ran away the way we did.

The beta was in his office but his door seemed to be locked, we was not only on the phone with the alpha but he seemed to be upset and in a rush. When I knocked on the door to his office it went silent and no noise was heard for about a minute.

I was now concerned that maybe I should not be outside his office, but before I could turn around he answered the door and told me to go to my room because the King told him that I needed to be there for the time being since he kept getting mad that I was always around his beta and that he chose life.

He didn't give me a chance to say anything as he slammed the door and locked it, sighing in defeat I walked back to the libarary as one of the guards followed me around, it was getting tiring knowing I was being babysat while my mate was having his period. 

Saving my work to the one drive I had with me I logged off the computer and took the harddrive with me, grabbing my phone I pocketed it and headed for my room, as I made it to my room I entered and closed the door and locked it to head to the bathroom. I had not realised that I needed to pee this entire time and forgot to go before sitting down to do my work.

Entering the bathroom I took off my clothes and walked inside the large walk in shower as I closed the door to the shower and turned on the hot water, maybe a hot shower was all I needed to feel a little better. Which it did at first, "Your scent is so intoxicating." Said a deep and husky voice that startled me and made me run to the corner of the shower only to see that it was my mate. "AND YOU ARE STARTLING ME WITH YOUR CREEPY OLD MAN TALK." I blurted out of fear as Gray and Ace Giggled at the fact that I was calling our mate Old.

His face twisted as he heard what I called him and I was now looking at the floor trying to sheild my body as I realised that I Fucked up royally. I tried to contain my laughter at the scoff he made out as he debated about being old with his wolf. "Pfft, Are you really debating if you are old or something?" His beta said loudly from inside my room which earned him a menacing growl from our mate. 

I giggled along with my wolves as my mate raised is eyebrow and smiled very big as he started to undo his pants, my laughter stopped all together with my heart and my breathing as I realised that I crossed the line that I can not go back from. 

"Sebastian! There is a female wolf outside our border begging for help!" Johnny says to Seb as he grunts and rushes out trying to fix his pants. I let out the breath I didnt know I was holding and thanked the moongoddess but also cursed myself for acting like a rabbit.

Ace became on edge and so did Gray, "Our mate needs us!" they told me in unison as I rush to get my clothes back on and run outside my room only to see that there was no one in the pack house, I go to head outside the main entrance when Johnny grabs my arm and has me go back to my room. "ARE YOU MAD? He will kill me if anything happened to you! NOW GET BACK INTO YOUR CHAMBERS!!!!" He says as I run back to my room. 

He was not playing and the urgency in his voice made me wonder what was going on outside. I looked out my window to find rogues everywhere, there were so many! Why were there so many Rogues attacking my mates pack?

Abbie knew I was here and so did my boss so why was this happening? I sigh as I allow Ace to take over, "Go find our mate! We are not sitting back this time!" I say and Ace bolts out of the room shattering the door to splinters as we rush outside the pack house. 

"I cannot pick his scent, there are some wolves that are familiar from the city and one that is too familiar." Gray and Ace say at the same time. We look around and lock eyes with someone we knew, a smile plastered accross my lips as I saw Cherry helping my mates pack fight off the rogues. I was about to run to her when she locked eyes with me but was I saw was not my friend...

Her eyes glowed red and her wolfs teeth were not normal, her fur went from a honey brown to a grey and Black mix and she was not on all fours but on her feet, she did not smile back at me and before I could proccess what was going on Ace dodged Cherry when she lunged at us. "Cherry its me Grace your sister!" I tried to call to her but that seemed to upset her more as I watched her shake from anger and she keeps lunging at me this time faster and more calculated.

"Cherry?" I said before everything went black as she screamed.
