Vastria awoke to sudden movement. She slowly opened her eyes and found herself in a moving vehicle. She sat up fast looking around the car not sure how she got there. She noticed it is a limo that she is riding with white leather seat coverings and a lit mini bar to the center of the limo. Seats were on lined around the limo with the mini bar at the center of the seating area. Across from her on the opposite side of the bar, sat a strange man in a black tuxedo with no tie or bow, but the man wore white gloves. He wore black square glasses that seemed to match how his hair is nicely greased back. He sat across from Vastria, the window behind his head lead to the front of the limo. The exits of the limo were a few seats ahead of Vastria, midway of the limo itself. This limo was over big on the inside. It could fit more than a handful of people, yet there was only two, this man and Vastria.
The noticed Vastria’s glare and smiled in silence. “Who the hell are you?” Vastria sat up straight getting closer to the window on her right.
“Milady, everything will be explained once we reach our destination,” the man said as he grabbed a pitcher of water, poured the water in a tall glass and offered it to Vastria.
Hesitantly, Vastria realizing her throat was getting dry, took the water and sipped it gingerly wondering if there were something in the water. Vastria did not trust this man. She wanted out of this place, this limo, and get home.
The man turned away to look out the window. Vastria thought it was her chance. She threw the water at this man, glass still in her hand and made her way to the door to her right. She grabs onto the door to open it, but the man was reaching for her. The man screaming, “NO MILADY, DON’T! WE ARE IN MOTION”. He yells to the driver to stop immediately. Just as he almost reached Vastria, she hit him in the face with the glass shattering it, his face riddled in glass shards and blood dripping down his face. The man shied back at the attack and Vastria leapt out of the limo that had come to a stop.
Vastria took moment to look around and saw that behind the limo was another car following, a black SUV. The men had gotten out of the SUV and was making their way to Vastria quickly. Vastria thought to herself as her heart started to beat fast in her head. I need to get out of here. I do not even know where here is. Vastria kept looking around trying to figure out which way to go. It was already dark again. Or it was the same night. Vastria could not decipher the correct time.
As Vastria could not figure out how to escape the man in the limo, Eldrid exited the limo standing behind Vastria. “Lady Vastria…” Eldrid spoke as he cleans the glass and blood off his face, the blood seeming to have stopped. His wounds starting to disappear.
Vastria jumped back away from Eldrid, “Stay the fuck away from me. I do not know how you know my name. I do not know who the fuck you are. Just stay away.” Vastria eyed Eldrid as he stood there by the open door of the limo. The other guys standing at the back of the limo.
“Lady Vastria, we do not have time. Those beasts are coming after you.” Eldrid tries to plea. Trying to get Vastria to understand the predicament they are in. “What are you talking about!” Screamed Vastria. Vastria could not grasp what is going on. These men are now trying to take her to a place she does not want to go. Another kidnapping, and she wants out quickly.
Suddenly, Eldrid rushed forward grabbing Vastria’s arm pulling her to the limo before she could try to flee or fight off his grasp. Vastria screamed, “Let go!” She tried to pull free.
“Vastria, shhh… they are already here.” Eldrid motioned to where she once stood as several shadowy figures appeared from the depths of the darkened trees of the forest. Vastria froze in a panic, as these figures stood in front of Eldrid and herself.
Altogether, there were five mean before them all in black head to toe. Their faces bared angrily showing sharp fangs and their hands extended to their sharp talons. The two guys at the SUV, came closer to Eldrid’s right. The man in the middle spoke, “give that girl to us. She must pay for what she did. You fucking demon scum are trying to hide this criminal. That is unforgivable.”
Vastria stepped back against the limo behind Eldrid thinking it was best she had listened to him. Ignoring the man before him, Eldrid turns to Vastria,” Get back in the limo, it is not safe for you to be out here. We will deal with this and get you to safety if you allow us to.” Vastria looks up to Eldrid nodding slowly thinking she just needs to trust him because the men before them were beasts, creatures of the night that has come after her for what she did back at that crusted old building.
She slowly climes back into the limo, Eldrid shutting the door after her. All she could do was sit there holding her head confused about what is happening. She looks at herself finding she was still covered in crusted blood from the creature she somehow killed and now she is a wanted criminal.
As Vastria was safely back in the limo, Eldrid turned back to the creatures before him. “As you know lowly vampire bastards, you are not allowed within our territory. I advise you to leave.”
The vampire who first spoke, who clearly was the leader spat at Eldrid’s words. “We are still miles away from your stupid territory. All we want is that bitch you have hidden away. Give her up now and then we will be on our way.”
“No, you cannot have her. She is of great importance to our lord, and she is due to meet with him tonight.” Eldrid trying to reason with the vampires.
“She has committed sin against our nation. She needs to be brought in and pay for her crimes. We will take her with force if we have to.” The vampires move forward to the limo.
Eldrid sighed knowing that the vampires will not listen to reason and motions his men forward. Vastria listens quietly inside of the limo not daring to look out the window.
As the lead vampire lunges at Eldrid to get to the limo, Eldrid catches him by the throat slamming him down against the ground. The two other vampires’ lunges just after their leader hits the ground. Eldrid shifted soon as he noticed the two lunging and catches them both in each hand protruding through their chests. Blood gushing out onto Eldrid. The vampire’s mouths gaping as they realized they failed but soon after Eldrid throws their weak bodies out into the trees. The two vampires did not reappear.
Eldrid’s men was busy fighting off the last two remaining vampires. Eldrid glances to his men urging them to end their fight soon as possible. The lead vampire in that time got up and lunges again at Eldrid. This time Eldrid catches the vampire by his skull. He lifts him up by his head and crushes his skull in one swift motion exploding all over and onto the limo window.
Vastria jumps from the sudden impact of the wet bloody mess and unconsciously looked out the window eyes widen at the sight outside her blood covered window. She could not stop staring at all the blood and the unmoving, headless body at the foot of Eldrid.
Vastria jumps again as two huge bangs comes at the back of the limo as two motionless bodies had hit the back of the limo. Eldrid men appearing taking the bodies away from the limo throwing them to the trees. She shook at the sight unable to erase the image in her mind. So much blood. She thought to herself.
Eldrid after dusting himself entered the limo as Vastria was glued to the headless body on the ground. “Lady Vastria.” He called out to her. He looked as though nothing had happened. That he was not in a fight, nor gotten any blood on himself. He was completely clean and neat. His hair still slicked back neatly.
Vastria shook herself away from the body and looks to Eldrid unable to answer.
“Will you allow us to continue forward? I am aware this has not been an exciting night for you. We will not harm you in any way.” Eldrid spoke.
She studies his face not sure if she can trust him or if she has no choice from what just happened to the men outside. She urged herself to ask,” Why? Why me? What are you? What the fuck were they? How did you do all that? How am I supposed to trust you? You are not human!” She could not control her emotions as she got her words out.
Eldrid clears his throat, “Let me try answering some of your questions. First, those men were vampires. Do you remember when you were kidnapped?” Vastria nodded.
“They were after you because of that incident. Second, we are demons sent by your father to bring you to him, to safety. And third, as you saw, we are strong”
“Wait. I do not have a father.” Vastria blurted out.
Eldrid held his hand up to Vastria, “Lady Vastria, you do have a father. He is waiting eagerly awaiting your arrival. Please wait until we reach our destination and he will be able to answer your many questions. He has been searching for you for years”
Vastria stared at Eldrid for a moment then sighed. “How much further then?” Vastria felt defeated, felt she had no choice but to go along with these demons. She could not wrap her head around the whole ordeal or understand how she is a lot calmer than she really should be. Eldrid answered, “We will reach by dawn.”
With that, Vastria stared out the window wondering what will happen next and who her so called father she would be seeing. As Vastria stared out the window with her hands on her lap, she noticed in the corner of her eye that Eldrid was watching her. She starts to feel uneasily. A glimpse of red glow showed from Eldrid’s deep eyes. It made Vastria remember her dream, but since it was only a short moment, she did not see cat like pupils from Eldrid. Eldrid who sensed Vastria’s uneasiness smiled and turned his gaze outside of the limo to try and reassure safety to her.
Vastria turns her attention outside the window watching the trees pass by entering the darkness behind them. The SUV that that the two other demons were in kept up with the limo. As Vastria kept her awareness to the forest they were driving through, she noticed something between the trees. It would come into focus then disappear. She could not figure out what it was. It seemed to be keeping speed with the limo.
Eldrid noticed Vastria as she furrowed her brows looking outside. “What is it my dear?”
“Um, there is something out there. Something running between the trees.” Vastria did not break away from what she was trying to see through the trees. It was fast and large. She though it was completely covered in fur, but she was not sure.
“It could be the wolves.” Eldrid says while looking out the window to where Vastria seems to have been looking. “We do have wolves in the forest. They frequently do their runs, and you could always see a glimpse of them. You do not have anything to fear from them. We will keep you safe.” Vastria only nodded at his words and decided to ask, “How big can these wolves get?” She turns her attention to Eldrid.
“Well, these wolves I mentioned. They are werewolves. So, they can be quite large. The pack that lives in this forest, though, they will not bother you or anyone in this territory. These beasts living in this forest alongside your father are passive. So, again, please to not worry yourself over them.”
“If you say so.” Vastria spoke uneasily blinking fast at the thought of werewolves as she turns back to the forest outside the window finding the creature completely gone. Eldrid sighed at Vastria's words unsure what he could say to make her comfortable. "You will soon learn more when we arrive, and you meet your father." Vastria did not respond.
Instead, she was stuck in her own mind and did not hear what Eldrid just said. What more is there going to be? Could this man I am going to meet really be my father? Ugh. Maybe I should have asked my mother about him. She never did tell me if he was dead or alive. I just assumed… Yeah. I just assumed he either died or did not want to be part of the family. Could she have kept all this from me? How could she? Okay. This is just crazy. Vampires? Demons? Werewolves? This cannot be real. Vastria was so wrapped up in her own mind, in her own thoughts. Eldrid only kept his eye on her knowing she was lost in her own mind as she continued in her own thoughts.
Then it suddenly hit her, “Eldrid?”
“Yes, Lady Vastria?”
“You said you were demons. My father. You mentioned he was the lord.” Vastria swallowed hard.
“Yes, you are correct. Your father is the demon lord in this territory. But please save the rest of your questions for him. He will answer all your questions himself.”
Vastria blinks at the thought of her father being a demon lord she was about to meet. Then, what does that make me? Part demon? She continued in her own thoughts trying to wrap her brain around the information.
If felt like so many hours had passed by, but after some time, the limo came to a halt. Vastria looking out the window watched the awakening sunlight start to peek through behind the forest trees. She did not notice that they stopped moving as she was still in her thoughts.
Eldrid stood up bringing her out to reality, “Lady Vastria, we have arrived.”
Eldrid opened the door to his left and waited outside the limo holding the door open for Vastria. Vastria gradually made her way to the door in silence. Eldrid offered his hand to Vastria to aid her out the limo. She stared at his hand for a moment then to his face before deciding to take his hand as she departed the limo. As Vastria departed from the limo, she took a good look around the area. The sun was peaking behind the clouds and the branches of the trees. She realized that they are in a clearing surrounded by the forest. In the center of the clearing was a mansion. The white paint glistening in the little light of the glowing sun. The pillars of the front stood tall and straight as if it guards the place with its might. Between two pillars l
Vastria was finally alone. Her head feeling heavy from all the excitement. Alone in her own room, her body started to shake. The pounding in her head subsided after a while since she was brought to her room. She walked to the window and looked outside. Below the garden was spread out wide and far. She could not see what type of flowers were being grown. All she could see was the fast greenery like maze of a garden. A man-made pond in the center with benches and tables. Surrounding the garden was high fences with vines grown to be part of a wall. In front of that was a man-made river that round around the garden to the pond at the center and mini bridges to allow passage to all the garden. She then turned to look around her room. This room is too much. It is bigger than my dorm suite with my roommate. She thought as she walked around the room. She studied the mini couch and coffee table then made her way over to the desk and dresser wardrobe. She opened the dresser wardrobe to find it f
The angry man in the suit looked around the room and glared right at Vastria’s father who now stood in front of the angry man. The angry man continued, “You fucking demons think you can do whatever the fuck you want. You nearly ruined our smooth operation in harvesting blood for our people. You know it is the only way to feed our self without being detected by humans.” The man complained angrily with Vastria’s father who intently listened. Vastria who stood behind Eldrid realized these men were the vampires who is after her. Her heart sped up unsure what will happen.
Vastria and Remus both turned their attention to their fathers as they entered the dining room.“Ah this meal looks splendid Lord Rothcas. I cannot thank you enough for this hospitality.” Nobleman Ciel happily stated while taking a seat next to his son as Vastria’s father took the seat next to her. The nobleman was in high spirits compared to his initial arrival at the mansion.Remus spoke up to ask, “I will safely assume deliberations regarding Vastria has been settled?”“Oh yes my son. We have,” Remus’ father replied with a pat on his son’s back. “Haven’t we? Lord Rothcas?”Vastria’s father cleared his throat, “Why yes, but let us have something to eat before we present the outcomes of all the deliberations.” He gestured to the trays of food.Vastria looked to her father with concern wondering what the two had agreed upon that made the nobleman this happy. Noticing her gaze, her father looked to her with a smile as he filled his plate and ate. Vastria took a mini ham sandwich to nibb
Vastria awoke in her bed. The room was dark. Still laying in bed she looked around noticing all her curtains were pulled shut. Her body felt so heavy that she could not lift her head to get a better look of her room. Light shown at the corner of her room as the sun tried to peer into the darkened room. It seemed to be the only source of light. She looked down to herself, someone changed her clothes to a white gown. Vastria heard a shifting noise and looked to the direction of that noise. Her father sat in the seat at mini seating area of her room. He was reading something on a device. Feeling her gaze, Vastria’s father turns his head to the bed finding his daughter has woken up. He stood placing his device on the couch. “My daughter you are awake. How are you feeling?” He briskly strode to Vastria’s side. “Why is it so dark in the room?” She asked.“You needed your rest, so I had your room darkened. The sun is already up. How are you feeling this morning?”Vastria sat up slowly in be
The dining room looked like a mad house massacre from a horror movie. Remus slowly let go of his embrace of Vastria watching her. Her gaze was locked on the bodies scattered around the dining room. Both stood in a pool of blood; both covered in blood of demons. Vastria stared at the corpse of Eldrid saddened that she had killed him, but just like she had before, she wanted to hide the fact she was interested in death. Even though she could not see his face, she knew what it looked like, horror filled with agony as she had ripped his still beating heart out. She looked to the ripped bodies scattered, torsos of maybe ten demons. An arm laid in the sandwich tray and intestines stuck on the wall slowly sliding to the floor. Remus turned to Vastria’s father as Vastria was looking around the room trying to stay calm. “Lord Rothcas, what happened? How did this all start.”Lord Rothcas had to shake his attention from the horrors of his own daughter as she watched her look around the room. “A
In her room, Vastria was taken to the bathroom by the maid, Izbeth. The maid started the bath, filling it up and urged Vastria to undress. Vastria obliged undressing. The maid ushered Vastria into the shower to rinse off first assisting with getting the blood and pieces of demon within Vastria’s hair. The water turned red soon as Vastria stood in the running water. It swirled at her feet going down the drain. She could smell the blood that had partly dried on her skin.Vastria settled in the hot waters of the tub set by the maid. “Lady Vastria, is the water too hot?” The maid asked. “No this is fine; I like it this steamy”Vastria relaxed in the tub her eyes closing as the maid assisted in scrubbing her body. The maid started to massage her shoulders. “Lady Vastria, are you feeling okay? I am aware of the incident in the dining room. You are free to talk to me if you feel like it.”Vastria looked to Izbeth while relaxing in the tub soaking in the steamy hot water. “Am I a monster now
In the library, Remus was thumbing through some of the books on the shelves behind the study desk. The door to the library opened as both Vastria and her father entered. Remus placed the books back onto the shelf to meet with Vastria and her father. The library was massive, about three stories tall. The stairs to get to the next floor were placed on either side of the rooms. Each floor had study tables with lamps. The study table on this first floor was at the floor’s center. Couches were placed on either ends of the study desk with a floor lamp overlooking the couch. Vastria was in awe as she entered the room, looking around. There were so many books in this library, just as much as a real library. Remus stared at Vastria as she looked about the room. Something was different about her. It was at least four hours since he saw her back in the dining room with the incident. Her powers must have been released. The air around her feels different. Is this the magical power she possesses? I
Where are you? Vastria asked Remus telepathically. Vastria looked around for Remus passing the entrance to the bar room on the vampire side. I am in the bar room with a few guests. Want to help me get out of here? I could use the help.
“Welcome everyone to tonight’s banquet. Why all the long faces? Come now. After tonight, our two nations will be joined in a truce agreement. It is a time for celebrations. Please mingle and eat to your hearts content.” Remus’ father came walking to Vastria, his son and lady Arnenas. Vastria’s father followed him. “Agreed. Please everyone, enjoy the night. after tonight the demon realm will be working with the vampire nation. Tonight, w
Vastria stared at herself in the mirror sighing. Remus waited for her at the stairs, but she was not ready. She was nervous. She knew that tonight would be a difficult night. A full banquet with vampires, demons, and werewolves all joined together. She could hear small orchestra music coming from downstairs. It was music that she was never into, but it was music that was appropriate for the occasion. She sighed again looking at herself before leaving her room. She made su
“Do I really need to wear a dress?” Vastria asked as her room was filled with dresses for her to choose from. They were sent to her by Remus’ mother. He came with every delivery she sent except this last dress deliver. For the past few days, his mother sent her dresses, and she did not like any of them. She did not care for dresses. “Lady Vastria, this is a banquet after all. You must wear a dress.” Elcid was spreading out the dresses before her on the clothing racks. “Do you
Elcid rushed back to the mansion after leaving Meagan at the park. She knew she would be fine on her own to get back to her apartment or where she was staying that night. It was lucky her informant found her before she was taken by the rogue vampires. She could not use a demon portal, but she was able to speed run to her car parked a few blocks away. As she drove home, she decided to send her lady a message to update her.
I cannot believe I did that. My parents have disowned me, and my pack banished me because I tried to reason with them about Vastria.I personally trust everything about Vastria, but those wretched demons. They literally sold her to the vampires. Vile wretched vampires that is going to use her.
The demon portal opened up at the center of the garden where the pond was. Vastria’s father and his servants waited for their return. Her father pacing clearly angered. He stopped as he saw the portal and waited. Remus stepped out, then Vastria and Elcid close behind. The demon portal of black mist dispersed soon as they exited the portal. Vastria’s father did not know what to say at first. He had many thoughts, but seeing her daughter finally back brought relief. He sighed and walked to his daughte
As Vastria started to say her farewells to Meagan’s parents and the elders, she felt a pull on her mind. Where are you?She knew who it was. What do you mean, Remus? The others around her did not know why she fell silent all of a sudden. They watched her questioning. They were not sure if they should interrupt, but Elcid knew what could have been going on. “Please excuse my lady Vastria. She just received a message via telepathy.” They looked to Elcid as she tried to apologize
Mishna and Astar led Vastria and Elcid to the center of the village. All the wolves were gathered there. As they reached, the wolves turned and stared at them, at Vastria and Elcid. They did not understand why demons were there that night. Three elderly werewolves were at the most center sitting down. Soon as they saw them, they stood up. They were discouraged. They heard about two demons being in the village but did not believe it until they saw Vastria and Elcid. Astar and Mishna brought Vastria and Elcid dir
