“You know the last time I had entered this room, it was decorated the same way, with beautiful flowers. Those flowers were just like my love. And these thorns are just like you. I gave you flowers, and you turned them into thorns. You made me what I am, Elena.” Elena’s eyes were pricking with tears.

He kissed her neck and spoke, “Welcome back home, darling.”

She was stunned to hear his words. She was trembling now. And he didn’t care.

He left her and walked ahead. She heard the thorns breaking under his shoes, but he was oblivious.

“Can you count these for me, Elena?” He asked. The room was looking hideous even to him.

“No.” She replied as tears spilled from her golden eyes.
