~Xavier~

After a week

Once again, everyone from the search party returned, delivering the same disappointing news: "Timbre was not found."

A mixture of sadness and worry enveloped me as I wondered if she had encountered any harm while attempting to escape.

My thoughts even led me to consider the possibility that she had fallen back into the clutches of the men from the neighborhood whom I had once rescued her from.

Seated in my study room, I aimlessly scrolled through social media and kept an eye on the television, hoping for any news or recent incidents that might involve Timbre.

Unfortunately, my efforts yielded no results. Exhausted, I shook my head and continued scrolling through my Instagram feed when the door suddenly swung open.

"Xavier, are you busy?" Fabian asked as he entered the study room.

"No, not at all," I replied as he approached my desk.

"And how have you been coping?" he inquired further, causing me to scoff.

"Do you really need to ask? You know very well that I

"Hi, Fabian," I exclaimed excitedly."Hey, how are you? You sound really thrilled. What's going on?" he asked, and I nodded as if he could see me."Nothing much. I'm just happy to have some free time. And how about you?" I replied."I'm quite worried about you, Timbre. You need to be extra cautious now. Xavier is going to great lengths to find you. He even mentioned going on television to search for you," he said, and my eyes widened."Really? He's willing to go that far? Why?" I inquired."I have no idea, Timbre. But he won't stop until he locates you. Just lay low and don't leave the house. If you need anything, let me know, and

~Timbre~ Upon entering Anne's apartment, I anxiously rubbed my arms. Her place was beautifully cozy, adorned with an abundance of lush, thriving plants. The living room exuded a subdued ambiance, with a hint of mint lingering in the air.In one corner of the living room, there was a secluded couch embellished with crochet artwork, accompanied by a standing lamp. It felt like an entirely different world within her apartment.Noticing my gaze wandering around the house, Anne chuckled, capturing my attention. I smiled softly and asked, "What's amusing?"She responded, carefully placing Marie on the polished wooden floor, "The expression on your face while you were looking around. I often get that reaction when people visit."Curiously, I inquired, "Do visitors come by frequently?" She shook her head and replied, "I'm quite selective about who I invite into my home, Timbre. It's a principle I've always upheld." She lightly patted the sofa and kindly said, "Here... have a seat." I nodde

Not only had I discovered that my mother was a witch who defied the coven's rules for love, but I also realized that I was deeply in love with Alpha Xavier.Although I had long suspected my feelings for him, my conversation with Anne had confirmed everything. I pondered intensely on how to find out if Alpha Xavier shared the same emotions while ensuring he didn't uncover my true identity as Bianca Araya. Frustration consumed me as I scrolled through various TV channels without finding anything captivating.Just as I was about to give up and reach for my phone, I stumbled upon a national channel where my name appeared in the headlines. Wide-eyed, I placed the remote on the couch and focused my attention on the screen. It turned out to b

The new phone I had designated for Timbre's search kept ringing incessantly, yet none of the calls proved fruitful.Frustration welled up within me, and I started regretting my decision to share it on social media. "They're only interested in money," I muttered, shaking my head as I left the study room.Making my way to the living room, I noticed its emptiness. Perhaps everyone was still occupied with their efforts to locate Timbre, or they had resigned themselves to their usual daily routines."But I can't give up, can I?" I whispered to myself, sinking into one of the couches and retrieving my personal phone from my pocket.Curiosity led me to check Instagram for any messages from Bianca, but she had left me on read. The echo of their destruction, the devastation they had wrought upon the land, clung to her thoughts like a persistent shadow. She couldn’t help but wonder: would she follow the same path as her ancestors, consumed by the power that now thrummed through her veins? Or would she be able to control it, to wield it without falling prey to its destructive potential? As she entered the hall, she was greeted by Xavier, who stood at the far end of the room. His tall, imposing figure radiated authority, but there was a softness in his eyes when they landed on her. The forgotten wolves were an enigma, even to the most learned among the council. Their legacy was shrouded in mystery, with only fragments of stories passed down through whispers and shadows. But what was clear was that they were beings of immense power, beings who had once stood at the top of the natural order before their fall.“The forgotten wolves weren’t just feared for their strength,” Alison explained one evening, her voice quiet but firm as they sat in a secluded part of the pack’s vast library. This was no ordinary mate bond, and the power she had drawn from it had barely scratched the surface.Xavier looked at her, his golden eyes filled with a mixture of relief and wariness. He shifted on the bed, slowly sitting up as if testing his strength, and Timbre quickly moved to support him, her grip tightening around his hand.“I’m fine,” he muttered, though his voice was still raspy. “Whatever you did, it’s like you pulled me back from… something dark. I can feel it—I'm not completely free of it yet, but I can think clearly again.”Timbre swallowed hard, her pulse racing. “I don’t know what happened either,” she admitted, her voice soft. “I fe

The power within her was vast, untamed, but for the first time, it did not feel like something to fear. It felt like an extension of herself.Alison watched her carefully, her eyes narrowing as she studied the changes taking place. The power that Timbre was channeling was ancient, older than the pack, older than any of the wolves in their realm. And now it was awake, coiling and uncoiling like a serpent within her.“Good,” Alison murmured, breaking the silence. “You’re in control.”Timbre opened her eyes slowly, exhaling in relief. “It doesn’t feel as wild anymore,” she admitted, he
