First Official Mission

"I have a mission for the both of you."

Master Fan Zhang Ai said full of seriousness.

Ming Yue and Bai Xiu Lan sat in front and faced their master.

It was not the first time that their master issued a mission but her current expression and aura is telling them that this mission might be harder and more difficult than their last missions in the past.

Thus, they listen at their master's words with great focus and attention.

They are currently in the Fang family's Mansion. The gigantic Mansion is situated in the private island owned by the Fang family called "The Island of Promise".

It is called as such because of the promise between the first Patriarch, Fang Shen and Matriarch, Rong Shui of Fang clan.

Patriarch Fang Shen got an unknown disease that even with powerful vitality of Martial Artists can be affected, more so the one of the strongest Martial Artist that time, the Fang Patriarch himself.

Day by day, his cultivation decreased together with his life force.

The Fang Clan invited over almost all the famous and respected Medicine Cultivators but none of them has a knowledge of the said disease.

After two years, the very healthy and vigorous Patriarch Fang can't move his body.

His hundreds of years of cultivation vanished completely within just that years.

When he felt that his time has come, he hugged his wife and cried silently. The always seen strict and solemn Patriarch Fang cried for the first time since hundreds of years ago when he was still a child.

I regret to die this early and leave you alone...

If--If I have a chance. I would have cherish you more. Spend time with you more. But It's my time now."

He cried in her embrace like a baby.

The ever gentle and graceful Matriarch Rong Shui raised her voice.

Matriarch Rong Shui said while crying but her eyes held a loving smile as she spoken the last sentence.

The couple for hundred of years look into each others eyes.

Their last words of the two before dying in their bed with both a happy smile in their lips and face.

Bai Lixue and Ming Ruqi became friends with Fan Zhang Ai over the past ten years so the two mothers didn't mind if Fan Zhang Ai brought their daughters to her home.

"Actually, this mission was issued by the Sect Master himself, specifically for the both of you. Both of you are now thirteen years old, the age where you should attend the Sun and Moon Academy before fully joining the sect. 

I told the two of you last year regarding of the sect training children age 1 to 5 years old right?"

Ming Yue and Bai Xiu Lan nodded.

When they were 12 years old, master Fan Zhang Ai told us about this but she didn't elaborate more.

"The sect chose those child who didn't have parents, abandoned or orphan.

The sect adopted a lot of children. Those age from one to five, they will be chosen by the higher member of the sect, such as elders and elite level members. To be raised as their children, disciples or to be trained to become the protector of their heirs and children of the higher ups who chosen them.

Some even chose a lot of children and brought them in their family clans.

While those age 6 and above, they are eligible to attend the Sun and Moon Academy, it's the only way to join the sect. 

When the students will attend the Academy, there is two ways for them to join the sect.

One: Attend the Academy and complete the curriculum of 14 years and you will be accepted by the sect no matter how your grades in every subjects.

Two: Complete missions that was given by the school and earn points. The points are varied by how easy and hard the mission is.

If your point will reached the required points to join, then you can join the sect in advance even if you didn't complete the 14 years training.

But you two joined the sect directly and the other elders are dissatisfied with it. You completed the missions that I gave in the past but it is not enough to reach the needed points to join.

Remember I only given you ten missions for the past years?

The point you earned aren't enough.

So the Sect master decided to give you both this mission to prove your qualifications to that old geezers in the sect.

If you two will passed this then they didn't have any reason to stop you from joining early. If failed then you must attend the Academy. However I know that you two will succeed.

Students of Sun and Moon Academy cannot leave the Academy if they don't have a mission.

And I know that you don't want to leave your mothers in their own so I whish the both of you good luck my dear disciples."

After hearing Master's words, I felt an excitement I never felt when I was reborn here. I stared at LanLan and I know that she is excited too. Even though she hid it, I can still see it as we know each other too well. 

I am very fortunate to met LanLan in this lifetime.

She is like the other part of me.

If she's happy, I can feel it.

I can feel her every emotions. 

Meeting her was fated. I am certain of it.

"Master."

I called out. 

When I first called her Master, I always remember my Master and father, who makes me feel important for the first time, he is the one who makes me feel the warmth of a family since my mother died. So everytime I called her Master, I will always remember the heartache of leaving him alone, for not having the chance to say goodbye to him. 

I composed myself and look for master's response.

She stared at me and understood my meaning.

"Your mission is to investigate these people."

She informed as she handed us two silver folders.

I opened it. 

What welcomed me is different profiles of people with their basic information.

There is a total of fifteen people in the folder.

LanLan and I are still reading the people's profiles when I we heard Master's voice again.

"You have to gather as many informations as possible, wether you see it as important or not. Their pasts deeds, daily routines, secrets and more. The sect's 'Elder Council' gave you three years limit.

And oh. You see that most of the people in it is involved in Entertainment Industry or a higher ups in an Entertainment Agencies right?"

Master Fan Zhang Ai's gentle eyes are now with a hint of mischievousness in it. 

"Why not join the Industry itself?"

This casual remark is the reason why a legendary dou will turn the Entertainment Industry and the whole world upside down.
