The Phenomenon

Judy and Jack come home ...

The couple has just entered the house. Jack is with Jesse in a deep sleep in his arms towards the boy's room, while Judy hurries to pass in front of her husband and opens the bedroom door. Jack puts the boy to bed while his wife quickly takes off Jesse's boots; she speaks softly as she takes off one of her boots:

"My God, these boots are already getting tight !!"

"Not long ago it was just a 'calf' Very small!" Covering him with a sheet ... While Jack kisses his son's forehead, and then Judy repeats the ritual; also kissing the sleeper's cheeks.

Judy turns on the lamp on the nightstand and Jack turns off the light in the room ... and then goes to the door and holds the doorknob while Judy goes through the door and the man smells the woman's good smell more closely ...

"Ah! What a perfume!" (Thinks Jack) ... The man "throws himself" on that neck, passing his free hand on her belly with affection. Judy tickles her neck with kisses that go up to the nape of her neck ... (laughs) Jack is now looking for those lips he hasn't felt in a long time! ... Judy runs a firm hand on her husband's ribs, opening and closing her fingers on his chest, and finally reaches the nape of the neck where he caresses his beloved's hair ... the meeting of the lips happens right there ... O kiss follows, while the two moves closing the door and continue to caress each other in the small corridor that leads to the bedroom.

The two end and stare at each other for a while and smile in sync. Then they laugh together reflecting mutual love between two souls ... They go out embracing in the corridor.

Jack is on the sofa in the living room watching TV ... But he constantly changes channels without being interested in any program ... And Judy is leaving the bathroom, already wearing a nightgown and a towel wrapped around her head. She unrolls the towel and rubs it in her hair in order to dry it ... Then suddenly, the woman hears a very loud buzz that starts high and then tunes! Making Judy put her hands over her ears, squint, and scream!

"Ah !!! (Woman scream)" Immediately Jack jumps off the couch ... and with some speed manages to hold the woman who passed out near the stairs that led to the couple's room.

"Judy! Calm! Calm down, my love!" Lift her dress to sleep ... worried if there wasn't any bleeding ... but no. Jack sits on the floor with his left leg folded as a pillow for Judy's lower back while holding her with his left arm ... He touches her wrist and hits her in the face calling her:

"Judy! Wake up! Come on ..." Until Judy shakes his hand ... They both fix their eyes on each other; then she asks:

"You heard?"

"I heard ?! I heard ... what?"

"Um howl ... Looking like wolves! ..."

"Wolf ?! ... No ... I didn't hear! ..."

"Suddenly a hum ... very, very loud! My head hurt ... A dizziness ... Then you, nowhere, close to me! ..." Mas and this pain?

"No I feel more. It was just for a second! I think I passed out!"

"Support your back well and put your feet here..."(the man speaks) ... He drags a chair and puts it within reach of his wife ...

"I'll bring you some water ... Stay right there!"

"Keep calm ..." Smiling controlling your laughter while you wait and scratching your belly a little ...

"Drink the water here, baby."

"Thank you, my dear!" She drink a little ... "Wow, Jack! What was this?"

"Good question!" Sit beside the woman with your fingers intertwined in hers ... "I only know one thing; until the baby is born, it's good for us to sleep down here, in the guest room!"

"Ah, but I really like our mattress, my love! ... Why don't we stay asleep right here in the room ?! Just bring our mattress here!" She drinks another sip of water ...

"All right! ... But stay there ... don't move!"

"All right, my love! I love you, my dear husband!" "SMACK!" She sends a kiss to her husband who is already at the foot of the stairs.

Seconds later, Jack drops the "sliding" mattress down the stairs.

Jack arranges the mattress in the middle of the room and then covers it with sheets ... And then they lie down hugging each other.

The man is concerned:

"Humph? ..." Falling asleep ... Jack doesn't want to disturb his wife, but he is thoughtful ... And then he falls asleep too.

Judy has a "dream" ...

She sees the ground passing fast ... she feels like she's running! But, strange, Judy feels that that strength, while running, is not hers! The view from the floor is like "stripes" ... She feels that she can already see from the side ... they are shapes that pass slightly! The image becomes more understandable ... She can also see that it is a desert environment and that the figures are actually the dry vegetation of the place ... So it is "turned" to the other side and contemplates a group of wolves running in groups and making noise as if they were communicating! ... See the moon shining a little in that gloomy environment.

Now she realizes an animal ahead that is not a wolf ... But of course! It's a pack hunt! A poor deer runs around, dodging as long as he can through the pale vegetation! The animal succeeds in its dribbling ... But the pack does not seem to tire ...and some are already starting to take small bites on the "survivor" hip! ... The brave deer then kicks back and hits some of those who bit him ... but he wastes time and is grabbed by the sharp teeth of one of the hunters causing the animals to stumble and roll in the sand! ...The other wolves advance on the poor helpless animal ... From Judy's perception, it was as if she was the one who grabbed the deer's neck! "herself"...

Then she notices things in her room! ... She sits on the mattress and wonders:

"What?" She runs her hand over her neck, and squeezes her mouth while she moves her tongue ... She seems to feel "a taste"! She speaks to herself:

"Que 'real' dream!" Without wanting to believe it was a dream! She is thoughtful: "The scariest thing is the taste of blood in my mouth!"

What was that all before you went to sleep ... and now this "dream", so real! Was it some kind of "effect" of pregnancy? Judy is thoughtful for several minutes ... Until she falls asleep again ...

Around 3:30 in the morning. She has the same "dream", again ...

Again a desert ... wolves ... and again she sees through the sight of one of the beasts! ... But now, the environment in which they walk seems familiar! The well-defined moon, reflected in a known lake, has its image "spread" by the tongues of the wolves, quenching the thirst ... They start to leave the lake and continue to run ...Now it's a gravel path ... They accelerate a little, reach a fence and jump easily ... they keep running ... Judy sees the old mill in the area ... They walk a little further ... and she see ... it's a "house", with a corral, some cattle ... "Wait!" She thinks, lucid! " This is our house!"

She opens her eyes and gets up.

She does not want to wake her husband. Then she tiptoes to the door ... she can already hear the sheep screaming in fear. But, like the other time, why doesn't the dog bark?

She opens the door slowly, turns around to see if Jack doesn't wake up ... She doesn't even want the man to wake up! She is very curious! That first night that the wolf appeared left many doubts. Despite the certainty that the wolves would not attack her ... And it is precisely that certainty that raises the most doubts! Even more now, after these recent events. Then Judy walks out, closing the door slowly ...

The woman passes by the small balcony ... She looks to the right and sees nothing! Then she turns around and sees ten wolves coming from behind the house!

"Ah!" She is a little scared. But, curiously, she is soon overwhelmed by a joy that she doesn't understand why! All the animals surround her ... and the alpha wolf walks over to Judy, leans his head on his thigh, snarling. Judy smiles and then laughs and says almost whispering:

"Seems like a fairy tale!" Caressing the head of the huge animal.

The wolf then turns to the pack and everyone else also approaches the woman wanting to be touched by her! She then speaks in a whisper:

"This is a miracle! ... Good heavens!" She goes picking them one by one as if they were mere "dogs"! And what is strange is that it looks like they just came out of a "hunt", with a little blood in their mouth and hair! And one of the wolves left a deer "thigh" next to your foot! She bends down and picks up the piece of an animal: "But how? ... Was the dream a coincidence ... or was it ... that I was in a way ... with them on the hunt ?!" She thinks.

The alpha wolf then begins to "push" the other wolves with its head, making it clear to its companions that the visit is over ... The animals are withdrawing one at a time. However, a little female wolf insists on staying and hides behind the woman! Judy is amused by the "little girl's" intelligence. She tells her new friend:

"Shhhhhiiii!" ("be silent") "Stay there! ... he didn't see you!"

The alpha was already about 70mts ... When he stops with his big ears raised ... he turns around, he surrounds the woman, and the wolf "girl gives a" grunt "upset and runs in fear towards the pack, while the alpha follows behind her, showing who's boss!

The big wolf stops and looks back. As if to say "see you later!" ... Then he gives a career to reach his companions who are already 300mts away. Judy, looking at the pack, waits until it is no longer possible to see them on the horizon. Then she notices the "deer leg" she has in her hand ... she raises it to the height of her head, raises her eyebrows with her eyes fixed on the "present" ... and asks herself:

"And what do I do with it?" (Laughing) She covers her mouth with her hand ... Trying to be quiet. The woman turns and enters the house. Then she notices her bloodstained nightgown: "How am I going to explain this to Jack ?! She thought. Closing the door, she turned the key, very slowly ... And then on tiptoe, she headed for the bathroom. And, again, she remembers the hunting "piece" in her hand! ... she runs out of the bathroom! ... arrives in the kitchen and throws the "piece" in the sink and runs back to the bathroom in order to take a shower right away and can go back to sleep anyway ...

Jack opens his eyes ... sits up quickly, rubbing his nose and sniffling:

" 'fúmph! fúmph!'" (sniffling man) "Judy?"

"O What was dear?" Open the shower tap ...

"I think the dog entered!" Judy takes his hand to his mouth and laughs "inside", squeezing his eyes and closing his mouth with his hand ... he takes the filthy nightgown and throws it in the trash can in the bathroom ...
