Chapter 55 - Calliope Flores

Callie POV

“Don’t you dare walk away from me, Calliope,” Jagger says as his nostrils flare. He looks at Ben, who is standing behind me. I can see Jagger’s eyes move between me and Ben, and I move my arm from his grip, and his eyes meet mine again. They are darker than usual as his jar clenches while he puts his hands in his pockets.

“Or what?” I ask, crossing my arms in front of my chest. I hate the way he is behaving right now. “Are you going to throw me over your shoulder and take me away?” I say, raising my eyebrows as I look at him. Jagger shakes his head slightly as he takes a deep breath, staring at me.

“Don’t fucking tempt me, Calliope,” Jagger says, taking a step towards me. He is inches away from me.

“Maybe we should all take a minute,” Ben says, moving slightly to stand beside me. Jagger looks at Ben, and I can see his jaw clenching once more as his nostrils flare in anger.
