Chapter 50 - Calliope Flores

Callie POV

Jagger hasn’t answered his phone since yesterday, and something in me tells me he is not okay. He would never not answer his phone or reply to my texts. Something must’ve happened. I grab the coffee from the counter and empty it in one go. It’s a good thing it’s not hot anymore. I hold my purse, and as I open the door, my mom appears behind me.

“So early?” She asks, looking at her watch, and I offer her a small smile and nod.

“Yeah, I have a lot to do today, a lot to see,” I say, kissing her on the cheek before I leave. Jagger’s hotel is not far from where I am staying, so I decided to walk there. Waiting for a bus would probably take me longer than walking, and I was right. No buses passed me as I walked to his hotel.

I enter the lobby, look both ways, as no one is paying attention, and run to the elevator. I press the button several times, and when I am inside and the doors close, I take a deep breath, feeling relief. When I reach his floor, I walk straight to his room
