What Else is There to Do?

It's been two days since she was taken, a day since she told me where she was, and the full moon was a day away. I'm not counting, but when you can't do anything but think about the problem, your mind has no choice but to think about how miserable your life has become.

Since then, I've spent more days in the office than in my room because I can't bear being in there without her; everywhere I look, I see her face and the bed smells like her. It's too much, and my wolf is driving me nuts.

I didn't report to the council that Star was missing; I won't see the point when I know they are not going to help me in any way, just like they don't believe that the vampire King is a danger to us all with his family. I look over some papers that have been sitting on my desk for the past couple of days but I don't see any words on them.

All I'm wishing for is that I could have Star here with me, and everything would be perfect; I know deep down it's not going to be that easy. While
