Roger, Sandra, and Caleb gathered themselves before watching the next scene. Bored, I lay on a nearby lounge chair. The memory jumped to Casey slapping me at the top of the stairs. Caleb, picking up on the commotion, ascended the steps.Casey rolled down the stairs on purpose.“Don’t blame Willow, Caleb. I can understand why she resents me. I stole her life, after all.“But it’s not like I have a choice, Caleb. If I could, I would take the abuse in the village for Willow.”As Casey wept inconsolably, Caleb helped her to her feet and then whipped his hand across the other side of my cheek. At least both sides of my cheeks were rosy now.Through this piece of memory, Caleb realized he was wrong about me. He staggered on his feet, his hand falling onto the table for support.“S-She never cleared the air…” Caleb murmured, feeling at a loss for words. It wasn’t as if I had a chance to defend myself. Caleb wouldn’t listen to me anyway. My subsequent memories revealed Casey tripping w

Sandra and Caleb weren’t the only ones with ghastly looks on their faces. Even Roger, who had always held himself high and mighty, was visibly shaken.“What is wrong with this machine? What the hell is this?“Did Willow bribe you to set Casey up?”I read the pity in the scientist’s eyes. What was there to feel sorry about? I assumed the next memory was related to the video.
