The battle between Raka and Ugi was interesting.
Jai had first thought that being a wind elemer, one will rely on long-range attacks to gain the upper hand. But after watching Raka’s battle until now, Jai had scratch that from his mind.
‘Raka was rather versatile. He could change from short melee to mid-range, and also long-range attacks. I’ll have a chance if I can lead the battle with short-range attacks, fight him fist to fist.
‘But he had seen me battle, and everyone here already know I have lightning. So there’s a possibility he will try to switch to long-range, or hopefully, mid battle. If he chose long-range, my chance can fly away,’ Jai hummed gravely.
Jai also noticed that there’s this... Faint, light green mist emanating from Raka’s body and moved in sync with his attacks. Jai didn’t know what that is, but that could have something to do with Raka’s speed and
Mugen was the first to act.As soon as the committee called the start of the match, fire surged from Mugen’s right fist and he immediately leaped towards Jai with his arm drawn.Jai widened his eyes, ‘Fast!’He immediately dodged to the left as the fire fist rushed past his right shoulder. He could feel the heat as it passed.Jai immediately jumped back.Mugen turned around and the fire vanished from his fist.“You’re fast, Jai,” Mugen smirked, his eyes glinted with excitement.“I don’t think you’re this fast in the previous battle. Were you hiding it for this moment?”Jai walked to the left while Mugen rounded to the right. They were studying each other.Mugen's lips twitched upwards. He raised his hand and once again, fire swirled from his right palm down to his elbow."Just for the finals. Don't worry, Jai. You're
Small feet trotted on the wide pavement street. His grey-blue orbs sparkled with confidence. He had a mission and he was trying to accomplish it. He had to get back fast to the house, but he realized he couldn't run. He feared the thing he was bringing will be soiled if he chose to run. Cause it ever happened before in his home.He passed by the tall plastic cup-like lamps on the street. He glanced briefly to the lamps, considering it weirdly shaped but good, because he had never seen them before in his home. It's good because it illuminated the path in the middle of the night. Not that he needed it though. His eyes were perfectly fine both in daylight or night time.He raised his head a bit to avoid soiling the thing in his mouth. He had to get this back to the house quickly. He turned to the right and entered someone else's lawn. No one noticed of
Jai opened his mouth and fed himself the weird green noodle Darrion had bought. The twins were the ones who delivered it, so it seemed that his blonde friend had called the delivery from their place.Darrion had ordered two noodles, which colors were both green, and two bags of chips possibly potato to mix with the noodles. And boy, Jai loved it.Darrion watched Jai with raised brows, amused at how bloated Jai's cheeks currently were. His friend was enjoying the food in his own pace, dead hungry kind of pace. It kinda reminded him of a frog's throat that Darrion couldn't help but chuckle. He continued his eating.Jai swallowed the food in his mouth slowly until his cheeks gradually becoming normal. He took the cup of water he had put on the railing in front of him, then drank the content. Then he exhaled satisfyingly."Aaah... That was incredibly delicious," Jai pointed out. He was smiling brightly
Darrion's expression twisted into an ugly frown while the person a few feet to his left stood up. Jai saw Torfo walked past them and both of their eyes contacted with each other briefly. Even though none said anything, the glare in Torfo's eyes were clear. It didn’t mean that Jai finally understand what the glare was for though. When the young soldier finally left, Darrion spoke, “Wish me survive and wish me luck. I know I can’t win, but I’d really like it if I can at least punch him or touch him in my wake.”Jai patted him on the back, “You can touch him. He’s not invisible like your wind.”Darrion smiled, “Thanks, Jai. I'll make sure his day miserable.”Jai nodded helplessly.“Good luck, little windlet. I’ll dry your clothes for you,” Bara reassured.Darrion chuckled, “Yes, thank you. That would save me some trouble.”Bara laughed. Then Jai stood up and
The fiery performance surprised everyone in the arena. Even the guests in the noble platform were amused."Mmm~ So hot..." A lady seductively muttered in the platform. She was wearing a slightly open, red kimono with dragon-like designs and gold accessories."Your taste is always youngsters with marvelous skills," replied the big man in yellow clothing. His words seemed playful, but his tone was a little insinuating."Oh hush, I'm really liking this performance," the lady said excitedly. Then she mumbled, "I wonder if it's okay to take him study abroad."The look in her eyes glinted something more than what she just said."Torfo is our youngest and talented soldier. I think I prefer keeping him," His Majesty said, ending it with a laugh. The lady moaned, "I can only wish then... Oh, irony!"The other guests could only sweat dropped.Back to the arena, Torfo stretched
Torfo's fire blazed around him while Darrion was falling with his wind swirling around him. They exchanged look once again. And then Torfo blasted his fire towards Darrion who was still flying in the sky.Darrion glared at the coming shot and dodged it easily. He continued flying down with his eyes focused on Torfo.Seeing the white haired guy glaring back at him, Darrion smirked."I can still do something to you without touching you at all. Let's play for a bit before I surrender, yeah?"He knew perfectly well that his opponent couldn't hear him. But he didn't mind. He wasn't actually asking anyway. The blonde windlet stopped in midair once again, already setting his plan in motion. He stretched both of his hands and grunted, as if he was lifting something very heavy. Then, something happened in the arena.Torfo who was on the ground, felt that his hands and feet were slowly bounded
His friend immediately passed out when Jai helped him lie down on one of the beds.Nurse Lin said that the blonde had used up too many of his energy in the battle and might probably miss two or three upcoming battles.Jai left him in her care and asked her not to wake him until the tournament is over.He already won two battles, and he did say he was happy he could get in among the tenth. The blonde might as well surrender for the rest of the battles and rest his body and mind.Jai could understand that taking revenge on somebody could take a lot of effort. Jai knew because that's the last thing he did in his previous world. He was very disappointed with his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend that time that he took it out on the boyfriend. Also because at that time, he was about to get beaten by the boyfriend's bodyguards of he didn't fight back. What he was trying to say was, revenge dr
"Thank you for the generous offer, lady Marin. However, I don't think that my Reila is agreeing of sharing," the MC said. The beautiful bird was beside the MC with her long and colorful tail circling him. Her dark eyes were gazing intensely at the kimono lady in the guest platform. The bird's overprotective behavior amused the audience and everyone laughed. The lady who was conversing with the MC also laughed, although nervously."Oh my... As much as I adore talented youngsters, I still love friendly monsters. So I think I will stop my advances for now."The MC chuckled and gestured his hand to the lady, "Give applause for Lady Marin from Pyreblair!"The audience cheered and clapped their hands in excitement. When Jai finally returned to his seat, he saw the MC and his bird partner walking around in the arena while talking.“What did I miss?” Jai won
