"Oh, he has greatly recovered. He pledged to come for my visit mid winter." Juliet supplied.

"Wow... I can't wait to see him! I will be most excited." Jane said.

While Juliet was always in the UK and rarely flew out, Jane was the near composite. She was based in the UK, but she always preferred to fly out during the holidays in between the school terms. She was a bit wild. Their parents both, were all super rich, and it is an entirely different story, if you are wondering how they first encountered and how their friendship kicked off.

Presently, it was their turn. The two friends greeted the cooks politely and bowed low as they were taught to do on receiving their food, after which they proceeded to one of the free tables with two chairs that faced each other.

"What a waste! I can say that the authorities spend several thousands of pounds each day for our daily meals." Jane said, staring at the huge freshly baked bread and heap of fried eggs on her plate.

Juliet shrugged, pouring a cup of tea for herself and her friend, from the tea pot on the table.

"Girl, I can not say, the last time I ate any of the meals to the very finish." She said.

"Then, while not tell the school's president to reduce the ration?" That was Jane.

"What is our concern with that? They will never listen to us, anyways. We pay fifty thousand pounds each term. It is justifiable." Juliet said, and her friend nodded in agreement.

They each, cut a sizable portion of bread, after which they proceeded to stuck fried eggs in it. The hall was commendably silent. Even the last year students spoke in whispers.

"Hey, I heard that our president has been changed." Juliet said, shifting in her chair excitedly.

"Yes it is true." An unwelcomed voice said.

The two friends looked up abruptly and stared at the intruder. They held their breaths for a while. It was Jimmy, one of the hottest form six males.

"Hey, you are not invited." Juliet said in her usual bossy manner.

"I am sorry for the interruption, Jane and Juliet. How do you do? How was the hols?" Jimmy asked, sitting down in a chair he had brought along. His other hand held a tray of bread and fried eggs.

"Hey! Who allowed you to sit?" Jane inquired.

Jimmy looked at Jane and smiled.

"Please, Jane. May I sit down?" Jimmy asked, standing up.

The two friends glanced at each other. The freshers who were nearby looked on.

"Sit down." Juliet said.

"Thank you." Jimmy said and sat down.

The two friends looked at each other again. What was wrong with Jimmy? How dare he interrupt their session?

"So, as you two were saying, it is true. Reekfield's president has been changed." The male said.

Jane glanced around.

"Do you not feel concerned that you are the only male seated in this area? What do you want?" She asked.

Jimmy smiled, equally staring around.

"Wow! Really? I am just noticing it." He said, tactically avoiding the question.

"Hey, you heard my bestie's question. What do you want? We don't need you here." Juliet said quickly."Fine... I want you... Let's be honest here. I want you." Jimmy said."You want me?" Juliet said and laughed, dabbing at her eyes."Yes. You got my words right. I want you." He said firmly."You want me? How does that even sound to your own ears?" She asked."Honest, sincere and down to earth." He replied."Hey, Jimmy, Jinny or whatever you are called, are you a cop? How can you just show up and demand my friend? What a weird thing. What kind of joke is this?" Jane asked.Juliet, however, did not dim it as a joke. She could tell that he was serious."Hey, you want me, Jimmy?" She asked."Yes. I want you. But don't get my words twisted. I am in love with you. I have waited for you for over four years. I started noticing you the very first day you walked through Reekfield's gate. I was watching you under that cashew tree." Jimmy replied.Juliet stared around. "Hey... see, we need to be

"Good morning beautiful students of Reekfield college." She spoke into the microphone. The thunderous reply form the students filled the hall. The freshers' voice stood out."You are all welcomed from the short holiday, and I am both elated and sorry to inform you of the sudden changes made at the board, resulting to me, emerging as the new President of the college. My predecessor, Mr Johnson Duke was needless to say, a hard-working man. I will follow his steps and leave the same legacy for my successor. Whatever good thing it is, that Mr Duke had done for the college in the past, be expecting it back in two folds. I don't joke with my words. I will deliver. And this is specifically for the last year students; I want Reekfield to claim all the top spots in this year's national colleges academic awards. For each price won, I am going to give out a cash prize of ten thousand pounds from my own personal funds. I want to hand out as much as half a million pounds. Let me see if you student

"You!" Juliet cursed on opening her eyes."Juliet. You need to be careful while walking, next time." "I will deal with you, Jimmy. How dare you?" She asked.Jimmy, instead, forcefully took her schoolbag and walked ahead of her.Juliet bit her lower lip and followed him. If he was dwelling in what her friend had told him, he better give up, for she had moved on. Long ago, when she was madly crushing on him, he failed to notice. Why was he bothering her now that her feelings for him had dwindled?Soon, they were on the second floor of the art complex. Juliet followed Jimmy into the seventh room by the right - which was her classroom. Jimmy placed her bag on her desk and drew back her chair for her. He then sat in a chair which was unoccupied."You can leave." Juliet said with clenched fists. She was still standing."But what wrong have I done to you, Juliet? You asked me what I wanted, and I said without mincing my words, that it is you. Why not give me what I want?" He asked with unb

"What!" Juliet exclaimed, shifting in her desk. "You have had cancer?" She asked in shock."I didn't say so. You want to stigmatise me, don't you?" He asked quickly."Come on. Stop being such a boy! See, I need you to tell me the truth. Why are you hiding it? I used to sleep walk until we got to form three. I was ashamed of it, but every single girl in our form knew of it." She said.Jimmy was surprised at the 'news'. Yes, it was news for him. He smiled sheepishly. So she had also paid a price for her beauty?"You see? This is more reason why you and I should be together. You have paid a price for your beauty just as I have, for my handsomeness." He said.Juliet narrowed her eyes closely."You have had cancer, then?" She asked. But before he could answer, a group of girls boldly walked towards their table."Why, what's up with you four?" Juliet asked. One of the girls, Nora, stared at Juliet in shock."Julie! You of all girls? How could you be friends with such a liar like Jimmy?" Sh

"Feel jealous? Or worried? Why do you ask so?" She asked, narrowing her eyes."Concerning the drama which you just watched and partook in. Do I need to prop your heart into thinking that I am a commodity that is in high demand?" Jimmy asked shamelessly."And do I need to prop your heart into realising that a commodity in high demand is one which could be cheaply afforded? And most of such commodities, the aftermath is stomachaches." Juliet said."I never knew that you were this mischievous." Jimmy said in a hurt tone."You are a playboy, Jimmy. You played two girls. Even our head." She said, rummaging through her bag for something."I still suffer from loss of memory. That is the fact. Why do you think that some terms, the gap I leave between me and Jim do exceed fifteen points?" He asked rhetorically. Juliet stared at his handsome face closely. She could never have guessed that he was going through a lot."But why do you tell me all these? Are you not worried that I might slip them

"You must have said that to alot of girls. I am not surprised." Juliet said.Jimmy wanted to speak, but remained silent. The third floor of the complex was full of the college's staff. "I will go in." Juliet said and slipped into the arts master's office. She couldn't wait to tell Jane. Jimmy had asked to be her boyfriend! Was she dreaming or what? The very guy she had been crushing on for years, has finally popped the question."Good morning Madam, is the arts master in?" She said to one of the master's secretaries. The woman nodded and gestured Juliet to go in. Consciously, she opened the door and walked into the masters' office. The latter's back was turned to the door. He was executing a landscape painting on a broad canvas."Good morning sir. I didn't see you in the hall during the President's address. How was the holiday?" Juliet asked carefully. The arts master smiled and turned around. In his right hand, was a a paintbrush. He held a palette knife in the left one."Look at y

"You and your tongue, Miss Wordsworth. I think they will be tougher. I need you to win all the awards for the arts category. You and Nora. You two are very promising." He said."I shall win them all. I won't even leave a single award for the arts category for her." Juliet said with determination."Wow! But are you sure you can do that? You slipped by nine points last term. Nora would have beaten you if she had three extra." He said."I was not stable, master. But this very exam is the exam for my feature. I don't care if there are a hundred Noras outside Reekfield. I will beat all of them for the awards." Julia said with determination. Nobody would stop her. Not even a bunch of Jimmies. Jimmy?____A Few Hours Later.Juliet laid in her bed, her face upwards. She was looking at the POP, but all she could see in her mind's eye was the replay of the day's events. Jimmy had confessed to her. He was suffering from memory loss and he had had cancer. Behind that handsome and flawless face, w

"Oh, that? I forgot about it completely, and I am so sorry. But don't worry, I will see to it, my lady. I won't forget to leave out a period for Jimmy once, every two days." Came the reply."I know where to get you." Juliet claimed._______Some Minutes Later...Jane and Juliet were dressed in short gowns. Their outing bags were slung across their shoulders. As they walked towards the exit of the female hostel's gate, a group of freshers ran towards them."Seniors Jane, Juliet!" They chorused. Juliet and Jane stopped and stared at them."Hey you all! What's it with you?" That was Juliet."Seniors, we were sent to you but had great difficulty in finding your dormitory. One senior Steve and another who didn't tell us his name, said that they are waiting for you two at the gate." One of them said.Jane hurriedly dismissed them and together with her friend, they hurried towards the college's exit gate. But it was a long way... Very long. Perhaps, it was because of the long distance that

"So, what will happen if I reject you?" She asked."I will collect back the money from them of course." He said, and they laughed. He was really humourous."Ehen... And about the money; Why did she give you as much as ten thousand pounds? That is a huge amount." She said. It did not bother her to think about the possible sources of the president's income. As the president of the board, they knew that she must have several millions of pounds stalked away in her bank accounts. "She called me and asked how much I received from Mr Sullivan to sponsor the talk show.""Mr Sullivan?" Juliet asked, looking up a him."Yes, Mr Sullivan. The president told me that Mr Sullivan came to her office, requesting to withdraw as much as a hundred thousand pounds to fund this year's talk show. I told her that I funded the show from my own pocket. She was shocked, and gave me ten thousand pounds." He explained."I see." Juliet said, her clever eyes narrowing. "So, she actually allowed Mr Sullivan to go

Steve gave his friend a thumps up. But unknown to Juliet, or perhaps, it was what she anticipated, the duo of Jane and Jimmy had stopped running, and heard every inch of what she said - for she spoke almost too loudly, as if for their benefit.Juliet was startled when she heard her Jimmy's voice behind her - for setting all the circumstances aside, the latter was not aware that Jimmy was just behind her - but managed to maintain her composure. He wanted to know what she had just told Jim."Summarily, I said that I am happy he has spoken up about his feelings for me, and that i will give him a reply soon." She replied him.Jimmy scooped her off her feet and took her into the hall. Immediately they stepped on the stage, a loud cry rouse from the students and the coloured lights came on quickly, the disc jockey's soft music playing in the background. Jimmy held her hands and winked at her to do the gentleman dance with him."But I cannot dance it." She said, moving her body in unison to

Jim blushed seriously."You flatter me alot, my dear. My name is not so special or sweet, like yours. I mean, just imagine the stress we out on you name. Ju-li.... That's my favourite part. The 'Li' in Juliet." Jim siad, and Juliet laughed. Jim threw a glance at Steve. The latter was busy chatting with his girlfriend. He felt like punching his nose. The idiot would not see now, how well he was progressing."So, do you have a partner for today's show?" He asked, trying hard not to make his voice sound flirtatious."Ahh, I see. You don't know where to sit, isn't it? Jimmy is the one hosting the show, so you can as well, take the place of the brightest chap in the sciences department for the sixth form category.'' Juliet said.Jim hesitated for a while. That Jimmy! She always brought him up no matter what."That Jimmy," He said, "Is simply a demon. Just last term, I don't know how he managed to over throw me. I gave him a distance of nearly half a dozen points the other term." 'it was

The two friends stared at each other and then at their feets. Surely, even Jimmy or Steve were not aware of the mystery they were trying to unfold. Who had told the president about their mission? Why did she speak with such confidence as if she had a foreknowledge?"Your excellency, it could be that there was a mix up somewhere. We were at the restaurant, enjoying their new recipes of coconut rice and chicken." Jane said, and Juliet fought hard not to throw up.The president smiled, knowing fully well, what Juliet's uneasy expression meant."I won't press you two further, as it is already seven thirty four, and the show will begin at eight. Well, just know that I am on your side. The science master is involved in a major funding scandal worth several hundreds of thousands of pounds. I need side evidences to convince the council and subsequently the court, that he is up to no good, and should be handed over to the police." The president said. The two friends were surprised. Jimmy had approached her for the first time this year, to propose to her. What had his feelings for her being, previously? So, he was after something after all?Jane was quick in noticing her friend's disdainful expression. She stared at her intently."Hey, do not twist my words wrong. Jimmy might be in love with you truly. The only thing we are suspicious of, is his timing. But nevertheless, it could be that his timing is just a mere coincidence. Follow your heart, and believe me, you are going to have the spotlight in tonight's talk show. If you like, do not prepare yourself." She said. The four stylists who were in the spacious saloon stared at each other. The two were probably students of Reekfield's. They all knew about the school; it's expensive school fees, using of smartphones and laptops by students, their legal talks of relationships, their high sense of morality, their high development of intelligence and brain maturity, their expensive school meals, the ATM machine on the

"Your excellency, the plan is all my idea. Mr Sullivan came to me yesterday and demanded to know what I have on my mind, since I am the host of this year's talk show. I told him everything, and he jotted it down, promising me to connect me with the very best organisers. Hours went by today, he did not call me. I tried his line severally, but it was switched off. It was at the last minute that I went out and contacted these organisers and their teams. I have not even paid them. I will withdraw two thousand pounds later from the ATM and give it them for their services." He said. The president was shocked."This is very wrong, Jimmy. You are a student. Why do you still have to use thousands of pounds from your personal funds to organise the show after the outrageous amount you paid as school fees? The hosting of the talk show is largely the responsibility of the school. I will summon Mr Sullivan tomorrow and have him removed from his post if he fails to attend the show tonight." She sai

"I can't accept it, Jimmy. But thank you, though. I am very grateful. I took a thick ward for the outing but unfortunately, we didn't even get to use a quarter of it." She said.Jimmy said, knowing fully well that she was the stubborn type;"Come on... Take it. It's not as if I am broke. I can always go to the ATM machine with my card anytime. Don't pity me." He said."I won't accept it, unless you come along with us." She said."Come on, I said earlier that I spent most of my cash today preparing something small for you and the other students. I have to return and see that everything is set." He said, putting the money into her schoolbag."You are wasting my time." That was the driver's impatient voice."Sorry sir. Go ahead, and take care." Jimmy said, stepping aside. The latter left afterwards, and as he made his way back to the college's gate, his eyes met with those of Jim and Steve. Slowly, he walked towards them."Hey, I am sorry. I should have asked for your permission. I hope

"Let's go." Steve said and they both stood up. "Waiter, bill please." Jim said. The waiter who had served them quickly approached them with a bill in his hand."I wonder if we have to pay for what we did not eat?" Steve asked rhetorically."We have to, though. We took the trouble in ordering for it in the first place." Jim said. The waiter narrowed his brows in suspicion. Had the two found out that what was in their rice was human meat and not chicken?"You two, why do you leave your meal untouched, and you have been here almost all day?" He asked curiously."As you can see, we ordered four plates of rice and chicken; two for us and two for our girlfriends. They told us that they would be here. We have not seen them till now. How can we have the heart to eat in their absence?" That wasa pensive Steve. The waiter smiled. He had thought otherwise. "In that case, I will receive only half the bill as the restaurant's way of compensating you." He said.Jim and Steve left the restaurant

The security chief eyed him."Don't you dare exclude yourself. We are in this together. If it wasn't because you went to town with that blonde of a waitress, the girls would be lying dead in the freezer now. But anyways, I did not tell Mr Sullivan or the manager. Only the kitchen women and the chef are aware. I will simply tell the cook that their bodies have been deposited in the freezer." He said. His companion sighed in relief."I see. You better keep your words. We would be done for, if Mr Sullivan finds out." He said. The two walked out of the storeroom after shutting the windows. They had barely covered a metre when they saw the chef. Without being asked, they hurried to her and the butler said with a serious face;"We have deposited the two bodies in the freezer. We shall now report to the accountant for our check of ten thousand dollars." He said. The cook smiled."Very well. I will also tell the women not to forget to keep their kidneys for Mr Sullivan." She said and walked
