Alexander knew that the advice he was getting right now was a much needed advice but someone else was going about, killing people as he wished and all Alexander wanted to do was to repay the favor. One thing he knew he was going to do was that he was going to kill whoever it was that killed his mom. That was why he had left home and no other reason. He was going to make sure that he killed the very person that gave the other. If he was generous enough, he could spare who executed the order. He looked at the man before looking down at his plate that was almost empty. His mind wandered back home to the Southern Crest Valley. He wondered how his family was doing. He wondered how Ari was holding up. He wanted to hear his mom’s voice. He wondered if Bennie had already found out that he had left without saying goodbye. He had so many questions. He remembered that his phone was dead now and he had left it in his car. He sighed and he dropped on his chair, his shoulders slouching.

His grandfather pulled out the flooring of the underground safe and he opened it. He looked inside and there was a small box in it. Alexander dropped on his knees, trying to help him get the box out of the ground. When they eventually brought it out, his grandfather tried to open it but there was no avail. Alexander was going to give it a shot when he heard a car pull up on the street. “I thought you said nobody came around here” Alexander said to him. “Nobody does, everybody thinks that this placed is cursed. Why do you ask?” his grandfather asked him. “A car just drove into the street and they are still driving. My guess is that they are headed here because there is no other building on this road. This is the last and only building available on this road” Alexander said to him. “But I don’t hear it and the entrance to the street is pretty far” his grandfather said back. “I wasn’t expecting you to hear it. I can hear it because I am not a regular wolf. We need to leave, now!” Al

His grandfather eventually came out and they headed out together. He got into the car and his grandfather drove. They spent what looked like forever on the road before his grandfather stopped and pulled up in front of an old house. The house looked like it was barely hanging together and standing. Alexander was certain that if a heavy storm came, the house was going to be washed away by the storm. His grandfather seemed to read his mind when he laughed and he looked at him. “Don’t be so quick to judge a book why its cover” his grandfather said to him before getting down from the car. Alexander shrugged his grandfather’s words away before getting down and following him. As they approached the gates, it opened itself which was a little shocking for Alexander, considering the fact that the gates were not automatic. His grandfather walked up to the door like he owned the place and he rang the doorbell. There was no response, at least, not immediately. He rang the bell again and a voice

“And you do have every right to be angry. The world doesn’t understand your power and it therefore perceives you as a threat. I am sad to say this because this is an itch on every human but what the world doesn’t understand, the world tends to eliminate out of fear and it is sad to say that your kind falls in that category. It doesn’t make it right but the world and the people that are behind it do not necessarily see it as wrong” his grandfather said to him. “Then there is something wrong with the world. The world didn’t even take time out to understand us, our powers, and our abilities. I know that you do not want this to be a revenge quest for me but if anybody comes after me or my family, I would not be the one you would need to worry about. Believe me when I say that there would be more blood than there ever was and it would not be mine” he said to his grandfather. “I understand you but I still stand by my opinion when I say that revenge, hate, and even anger is not good for yo

“I was hoping that there would be an exception for an old time friend” Alexander said to her. She looked at him and smiled before walking towards him. She threw the table cloth on her shoulders and leaned against the table. He could see that she was happy to see him and he smiled back at her. He couldn’t understand the strange connection that he had with the woman. She was older than he was, she was a total stranger and he didn’t know her. Heck, after today, he was probably never going see her again after today and that bothered him because there was something about her that he couldn’t place his hands on. Who was she? How was she linked to all of this? What role must she have played that the connection he had with her was so deep that he couldn’t think about it? Alexander needed a lot of answers but he knew that he couldn’t ask her any questions. He was going to have to find his answers another way. “Hey there, you are a sight for sore eyes. How have you been doing? It has been wha

Alexander was shaken by the news. He didn’t know how to react. He had come back with the expectation of seeing his family and having one of the best birthday he had probably had in three years. All of those dreams were shattered. His eyes burned with tears and anger at the same time. Bennie looked at him and he could see the flames in his best friend’s eyes. There was no way he could take the news without losing his mind. His family was gone. Everybody was gone. His sister was nowhere to be found. “A couple of weeks later, Carlos pulled up here with his sister, the psychopath. They came here to get the answers they couldn’t get from your parents. I didn’t have them and they murdered my parents in front of me! Where the hell were you when all of this was happening? We needed you! I needed you!” Bennie said to him. “Where the hell is Carlos?” Alexander asked as his eyes burned with anger. “Let me get this straight. After everything that I just told you, all you could say is that? Hol

“I wouldn’t stop you and my sister wouldn’t stop you either but if you kill him now, you would never know where your sister is, you would never find the answers that you seek. I want to kill him too but that is not the way to do things” Carson said to him. “My brother is right. You can’t kill my father now. It wouldn’t get you anywhere. You also have to leave. My father would be back very soon and if he finds you here, you wouldn’t get the chance to kill him first. I can tell you that for free” Cathy said to him. “What would you have me do then? Stand by and do nothing? Is that what you want me to do?” he asked them. “No! I don’t want you to do that. You are the hope that this valley has. You are the prophecy that was spoken off but right now, my father is unstoppable. You would not win if you go into battle with him, not while he has my aunt by his side. If you take her away, then maybe you have a chance at beating an Alpha but even as at that, my father has too many people that a

At first, the dreams were about her parents dying right before her eyes. Later, they were just gory and bad. She wouldn’t get to see her parents but the unpleasant smell of death and blood was constantly around. She knew that something bad was going to happen, she just didn’t know when and that troubled her greatly. After losing sleep for days, she decided to talk to her parents about it but it felt as though something kept stopping her. It was a hot afternoon when she was in her room, trying to get her homework done when there was a banging on the door. She unplugged her ears and pulled her headphones across her neck, tilting her head to be sure that the sound she heard wasn’t from her music. She heard it again and jumped out of her brother’s bed. She had been staying there since he disappeared. It had been weeks since they last heard from him and she concluded that he was probably dead. The banging on the door came again and she figured that whoever it was wasn’t going away until so

The first two weeks went by smoothly. It was silent and serene. Carlos didn’t come over and Arielle figured that there was nothing to be worried about but she was wrong. By the third week, Carlos came by to get the answers to the questions he had asked three weeks ago. She walked in from school and found her mom crying in the living room. She knew that her mom was an emotional person and she found comfort in her tears but she was fine this morning and that bothered Arielle. “What is wrong, mom?” she asked her mom. “Oh, sweetheart. I didn’t hear you come in. it is nothing. I just had such a terrible day. I have been trying to reach out to your brother and I haven’t gotten a feedback from him. It breaks my heart, not knowing if he is alive or not, if he is doing okay or not. I am just worried about him, that’s all” she said to her. Arielle knew that her mother wasn’t telling her everything but she didn’t want to push it either. She knew that her mother was worried about Alexander, de

Alexander laid back on his bed that night, unable to sleep. He kept tossing and turning from one side to another. He has been getting stick on the whole leadership assignment but this was the first time that he had questions that couldn’t be answered because the answers didn’t exist. He wanted a way out, a way that would get rid of the bloodshed. He didn’t want any more blood but it was looking like an impossible task. Everybody wanted Carlos dead. Alexander wanted him dead too but he wasn’t sure that was the way to get things done. If he killed Carlos, another person was jus going to rise up and take up the mantle, building on whatever legacy that he left behind. Alexander sighed and he turned to lay on his side. He couldn't believe that he was having sleepless nights over someone that didn’t deserve it. Maybe he should just go with the crowd and let them have his head for all of his crimes. Alexander wasn’t sure if that was the way though. He closed his eyes and decide that it was be

“What is going on with you?” She asked him, dropping her fork to look at him.“What are you talking about?” He asked her back.“There is an unsettling storm, raging in you. It is like a ticking bomb, ready to blow up. What is eating you up so bad?” She asked him.“Something in all of this story doesn’t add up” Alexander said to her.“What story?” She asked back.“Why Carlos wants be dead so much. I am not trying to ward off my responsibility or my duty to end his life but why does he hate me so much? I barely even know him. I haven’t done anything wrong to him. I need to find out why. That may be the reason to all of this insanity” Alexander said to her.“Carlos has killed more people than I can count. Why he did it wouldn’t make any difference to me. I can assure you. If you insist on finding out why he did it then maybe you should as your grandfather but no matter what sad story there is to why he did it, I am going to kill him, if you wouldn’t do it” she said to him.“And what if t

Carlos knew everything that was at stake. All of the legacy wasn’t going to matter if there was nobody to inherit it. He needed an heir, he needed his heir but Carlos had decided that he wasn’t going to rule. He groaned as his thoughts started to swallow him up. He ran his hands through his hair and slapped his forehead. Things around the house has been a little tense ever since he killed the maid. Everybody has been extra careful around him just so he doesn’t rip out their throats in anger, in his rage. Well, he did want the people to fear him and that was working out for him just fine, only it wasn’t working out the way he wanted it to work out. He was angry at the world, at himself, at his kids. The door to his room opened and his sister walked in.I have had my ears and eyes on the ground for a while. Miguel is dead, he wasn’t the one that broke the curse” she said to him.“That leaves us back at square one. We don’t know where they are or who broke the hex. Maybe you are not as p

“My sight is what I need to be complete. Losing it was both a blessing and a curse but all in all, it was experience. I learned to survive without it. I got the chance to develop my other senses because I had to depend on them but that doesn’t mean that I was okay with being blind. I need my sight back” Carson said to him.Miguel nodded and he started to chant. Carson felt an overwhelming power and he fell to his knees, weak and drained. The voices around him started to fade slowly until everything became silent. He couldn’t hear Miguel anymore then suddenly, light filled his eyes. He hated to use the statement but it was blinding. He closed his eyes and blinked continuously, trying to adjust to the brightness. He eventually passed out. He knew that if anybody else knew the truth, it was going to be him. Regardless, he was not willing to ask his grandfather in front of people, especially not Carson. Carson might have seen his father as a monster, and maybe that was a good thing. Alexander wondered what Carson would do if he got to find out that his father was the way he was because of the mistake of one burning flame wolf. “I guess life looks different with Carlos. .Although I was expecting different. I can’t believe he would kill his own wife. The rumors had it that she slipped and fell from the balcony. Hearing that he killed his own wife just makes him more of a nightmare And I really hope that he gets what he deserves” Alexander’s grandfather said to him.“My father thinks he is on the right side of this war. He believes that the burning flame wolves should be eliminated. I have never understood his hate But at the same time, I have never seen him so scared of anything in his entire life. Something tells me that this battle is bigger than any of us. Either ways, it is not an excuse for him to have done the things that he did and for that, he has to pay!” Carson said to him.“And He will when the time is right but now, we have to focus on getting your sight back so that we can prepare for battle. You look like you haven’t opened this place since I was last here. What happened here?” Alexander asked her, diverting the topic from his miserable experience to hers.“I came here one morning. I found the place all bashed and broken up. Some people said that it wasn’t people from the neighborhood and it was from Southern Crest. Someone said they were trying to warn me. It was better to be safe than sorry so I chose to be safe. I didn’t open up the diner anymore. I

We did it” Alexander said, dropping on the sofa and taking a slice of the pizza in front of him.“I thought we were supposed to be keeping a low profile! How is that a low profile in any way?” Bennie asked him.“Arielle needed to do it and she did it. Also, according to what you just said, nobody knows who did it. That is the point. Alexander waited until she was in the house before he drove off. He and Arielle headed for their house first. When they got there, he noticed that she sat still, not making any attempt to leave the car. He touched her hand and she looked at him. She had tears in her eyes and Alexander sighed. He didn’t know what to tell her to make her feel better. How could she feel better? The last time that she was in the house was when her mom was being killed. He nodded at her and cleared his throat.“You really don’t have to do this. We can’ always do this another day” Alexander said to her.“There is no other day. We have to do this now. I need to see the condition of the place. I need to know how much damage the did to the memories left in the house. I need to see if mom and dad still have anything in the house, something can take along with me to remind me of their sacrifice” she said to him.“I don’t think you would ever forget it but there are a lot of things in the house.
