Alexa was shocked. So he heard it all? Idiot! Of course he did. How else would he had known what she said? He must have been listening in on them for a long time and they had been blissfully unaware. 'I only said that because I wanted to provoke Camellia. She was accusing me falsely, implying that I was trying to seduce you, most probably because of the news showing the both of us present at the construction site!'

'So you did not mean it?' he asked, disbelievingly, ignoring the other things she said. 'You are not trying to take me from her?'

'Why would I?' she countered.

Her question was a blow to his pride and got him angry and he wondered why the thought that she didn't want him annoyed him so much or the thought of her enjoying another man's company for that matter.

'Is that the reason you invited me for dinner?' she asked indignantly. 'Thanks but no thanks, I'll pass!' She was walking out of the office obviously angry when he called her back.

'Is it because of Wayne?' he asked
