Chapter 38: Mother!

Hector could feel the mate bond pulling him to this strange woman. He wanted to kiss her so badly that he forgot where they were.

Alexa must have read the expression in his eyes correctly because she pushed herself upright, away from his arms.

'Thanks, King Hector', she said, brushing down her cloth. 'It's my fault. I was rushing out and didn't see you coming in!' What the hell was he doing here? she thought distractedly. She did not want it to be that he came here often. She didn't want any distractions.

'I came to see a friend', Hector replied, trying to get himself back under control, as he put both hands into his trousers pockets. 'Hope you don't mind that?' He was not sure why but he didn't want her to know yet that he owned the company.
