Jade's point of view:
I made my way out of the packhouse while making my way toward the forest in order to find our pack beta – my mate.
The moment my eye lay on his perfect figure, my entire world rejoiced. Even when his body looks sweaty, it still screams perfection.
The wet, dirty chocolate hair above his head was made perfectly to suit his brown eyes' color. The tan skin delights his six-pack abs, making him look like a prince that has just escaped from a fairy tale.
My eyes didn't struggle to find my favorite part of his entire body, his lips. Believe it or not, those lips were able to make me forget about my entire existence.
I shake my head while trying to focus on what I was sent for.
"James!" I called his name. He was so focused on the pups he's training that he couldn't notice my presence until I called his name.
One of the things that I adore about him is how passionate he is about his work.
This year has been such a great year for our pack, about thirty pups reached their sixteen, and all of them shifted successfully.
It's a huge number of pups, yet, it's a blessing. Like my father loves to say, the more numbers you have, the strongest you get.
Our Alpha couldn't trust anyone but James with such a huge responsibility, and he's giving all he has to be up to our Alpha expectations.
"My fath... I mean, the Alpha wants you in his office."
I struggle most of the time to adjust to my new rank. I'm not only the daughter of the alpha, I'm also the female beta.
Yes, my father is the Alpha of our pack, and my brother is the future Alpha.
You might be wondering who I am?
Well… My name is Jade, a twenty-two-year-old she-wolf. Daughters of Alpha Luca and Luna Eleonora.
My mother's only child, but not the same for my father.
I know you might be wondering about how that is even possible when it's known that werewolves don't cheat and live their entire lives with their mates?
All I can say is that everything's possible when fate plays its own games.
My father never cheated on my mother, neither his mate before. He was just blessed with a second chance mate, after that his first one was killed.
As I was told, my father loved his first mate strongly, but she was taken from him at an early age.
I was told that she was the same age as me when she died. She was just in her twenty-two, and she died while trying to save Tristan, my half-brother.
People here in our pack claimed that she was a living angel and that I look more like her than my own mother.
I wouldn't deny how much I'm wishing if she was still alive. At least Tristan wouldn't have to grow up without a mother, nor blame himself for her death.
I kind of found it stupid out of him to blame himself for something he never committed. She was killed by rogues, and he has nothing to do with it. What could he do when he merely was two years old?
In one bloody night, the night creatures decided on attacking our pack. Of course, like any other alpha, my father obviously did what any alpha would do. Yet, it was his biggest mistake.
Taking all his fighters out of our territory to keep vampires away, means that the pack-house was left without protection. It was then when some werewolves sent our rival pack – the Red Moon pack took advantage of the situation, and attacked the house-pack.
Their alpha's intentions were to weaken our alpha by killing both his mate and son, which would of course happen if both of them died.
He convinced vampires that their "Moon Stone" was in our pack, and that father is the one who stole it. That's how actually the war between us and the night creatures started.
Of course, no one knew back then that he was the reason for all that our pack has been through. Yet, my father always believed that the Red Moon pack's alpha wasn't someone to trust.
Meanwhile, the pack fighters, alongside with their alpha, were out for a battle. Rogues made it inside our pack.
Yes, even rogues were involved in that bloody night. Five rogues were promised to be part of the Red Moon pack if they killed both my brother and his mother.
What none of them expected was that the previous Luna – Luna July, was not just a pretty face, she was more…
The moment the first rogue wolf trespassed on our pack land, Luna July was able to scent him. She sent her son along with her dearest friend, and female beta – James' mother.
Lady Celeste hopefully succeeded in protecting Tristan by running away with him to the human land. Meanwhile, Luna July stood there fighting in the name of her pack, mate, and son.
She shifted to her brown strong wolf, then attacked the rogues all at once. She was too strong than to ever step out of battle, even if it was a losing battle.
She was able to finish four of them, but ends up as a prey for the last one among them. When my father was on his way back to the pack, he wasn't able to feel the joy of victory or the happiness.
Only few steps away from the packhouse, he felt the bond breaking. Hoping that it wasn't too late, he rushed back in his wolf form.
Feeling that the alpha was getting too close to the battle spot, the last rogue ran for his life.
Sadly, my father couldn't make it at time…
She was already dying when he was making his way back. The pain of death caused her body to shift back to its human form. Before that she was gone, she made her last wish near to her mate's wolf.
She was hardly speaking, yet she refused to go without saying her last words.
"Our son… Tristan… They want him dead… Save him please…" She pleaded her last wish, and she closed her eyes once and for all. She called her mate's name.
"Luca! I love you…" Then she got quiet for eternity.
It was my father's first time to feel the real pain. He still defines the pain he felt that day as the worst pain he ever felt. Quoting his words, he described it as if his soul was ruptured into two. He lost part of his soul, which took all his happiness away.
The fire in his soul grows burning him deep inside into ashes while knowing that the one who killed his mate is a rogue that is still alive.
He then started hunting rogues, one after another. Until he met the rogue that changed his life, his second chance mate, and my mother.
Yes, my mother was a rogue, and he didn't hate her for that. Matter of fact, they both fell instantly for each other.
My father was a good man, and he didn't deserve to live in pain. I believe it's the reason why he was gifted by my mother. Yet, the challenge he had was to make the choice.
A choice between giving the light on to his hatred toward rogues, or opening his heart to love.
Of course, you all know what his decision was since I'm here talking to you.
The truth is that not all rogues are disgusting creatures like most people believe. They can also be wolves who left their pack to search for a better life, like my mother.
My mother was an omega in the Red Moon Pack. I know…! Too much coincidence, yet, sometimes fate creates more coincidence just to make sure that the right people meet each other, eventually.
My father was her second chance mate, too.
Guess who her real mate was?
Well, it's no one but the alpha of the Red Moon pack himself. He hated that my mother was just an omega, and rejected her.
For such a reason, she left her pack and became a lonely wolf, a rogue.
Of course, such a decision was a dangerous decision to make. Still, based on what she told me - dying with dignity is better than living with none.
Mistakenly, she crossed the White Lilith's pack territory. The White Lilith was the name of our pack back then, but not anymore.
A foolish rogue trespassing the land of the rogue hunters, it exited the hunter instincts of my father. He wanted to punish that rogue himself. He didn't expect even for one second that he would fall, and in the worst way for that rogue.
The fire burning in his soul disappeared instantly the moment their eyes met, and all the sadness in his heart was replaced by instant love.
My father kept repeating until recently that my mother was too good to be real. Not that she helped him raise his one and only son, she also gifted him by me, the sunshine of our pack.
Most importantly, she did have a huge impact on reaching the previous Luna's killer.
Being rogue, even for a few weeks, helped her to learn things that no pack member knows about. Things such as caves and dens where most of the rogues hide.
With her help, the rogue, who killed the previous Luna, was caught alive.
Well, he didn't keep alive for too long. After some thought investigations, he was found guilty and condemned to death.
But before that, the information he could give was a real deal to start the war with our rival pack. As you know, we werewolves, live under packs, and there are rules that keep us all living in peaceful harmony.
Still, the peaceful harmony wasn't always enough to keep greedy wolves from misbehaving. In order to start a war with another pack, you'll need approval from the alpha king.
To get such approval, you need a solid reason.
The rogue caught with the help of my mother provided my father with all the proof needed to get the green light to avenge his dead Luna. The palace sent some soldiers besides our pack fighters, and with their help... We took over our rival pack, and our territory got bigger.
Sadly, the Red Moon Alpha – Alpha Asher, escaped, and no one ever heard about him ever again.
From that day, we weren't the White Lilith pack anymore. Instead, our name was changed to the Bloody Moon pack.
The only pack taking over the Mississippi River, and the entire New Orleans.
Jade's point of view:"The training is off today!" My mate shouted at the pups, then continued with a louder voice." See you tomorrow at the same time and place!"The pups who were fighting on their human form seemed totally relieved knowing that the training is over, which kind of gave me an idea about how hard James is going on them."Take it easy on the kinds..." I tiptoe to whisper near into his ear while making our way toward the pack hose.My small act got my mate stopping in his tracks. He turned to face me with a devilish look on his face, then stated."You know how hard it is to stop your wolf from claiming his mate? I don't think you have any idea how badly I'm wanting to mark you?"His questions sort of made me huff and puff about our entire situation, which you'll understand about soon."I'm going through the same... Can't you see! Why can't we mate as normal werewolves do?""Well, that's your mother's wish…" He started, and before he finished what he was saying. I cut him
Jade's point of view:"Can I at least know the reason why you were so angry at me?"I questioned my mate. I mean, since the meeting was over; he didn't seem like himself at all."I'm not angry at you... I'm just not liking the entire situation! "I kind of have an idea about what he was thinking. Still, I would never do what was in his mind. Instead of creating more trouble for both of us, I decided to act dumb."You suppose to be happy... We're supposed to be happy about it all. I mean, we're about to eventually end up together, just like we've always wanted."Instead of speaking about what was on his mind... I decided to remind him about the important part out of it all which is 'us'."True, I should rejoice being with you ... We are getting together, as we've always wanted... But please don't..." He posed, then started speaking bitterly again. "I don't like how they're stealing your birthright, and it would be better if you don't act dumb again."" I'm not acting, I just can't see
Michael's point of view:The same familiar scent crossed my nose, alarming my senses that she was close. How can I not recognize such a delicious scent even when she wasn't yet in my view? There must be something about that she-wolf. The thing is that I care less about what is special about her.Yet, I believe I need a new blood slave. Kathrine isn't as special as I thought, and the taste of her blood isn't as tasty as it was the first time my fangs kissed the veins on her neck. Again, what to expect from a human?!Humans were much funnier before my father and his coven came up with their stupid rules. It was claimed that those rules were made to protect our kind, but it did nothing more than to make a strong species like us – vampires, hide out from weakening like humans.Eliza, who was standing by my side, seemed to have a close idea about what was on my mind as if she was reading my thoughts."No killing brother… Those are the rules!""Not all the rules are to be followed… Some are
Jade's point of view:"Well… Well… Well!… Look who we have here?"A female vampire spoke among the bunch who were circling me. Her only presence screams power, and I was able to feel it. I know for sure that she's a high rank in her society – the vampires’ society.I was located in a circle in which there were six other male vampires standing by the side of the female. In no time, another male vampire joined them, his mere presence overcomes hers in no time. He might be the same rank as her if not higher than her.Something about the way they looked at each other can tell that they are not really on good terms."Partying without inviting me? That hurts my feelings!" He sarcastically states, causing the female to roll her eyes while not trying to hide her annoyance."What should I say? We're vampires, fast by our nature. We don't wait for slow ones…" She stated but was interrupted again by the same one."Where have you lost your values? I mean, where goes the girl who used to follow
Tristan's point of view:My head was resting on my bed while I was facing the ceiling of my room. The creamy color of the roof seemed too swift for my intense mood.My body was resting as if I was about to sleep. The truth is that I'm far from sleeping, not after what I was informed today.I'll soon have to be the alpha of the pack, it's what I've been dreaming about since the first day I came to acknowledge my position in the pack.I should've rejoiced the moment and celebrated such a moment. Still, nothing seemed perfect as it's seen. It's all happening so fast, and I don't know for how long I can resist all these handy matters that my father is laying on my bare shoulders.Of course, I received the best training since I spent most of my life in the palace. Not that I'm the only one receiving such an honor. Well, most of - if it's not all the alphas of my generation are the same, and it's all started only in those last two decades. The shocking news claiming that the first son of ea
Hell no! My long-awaited mate is a vampire, and worst, she's Michael's sister.I planted my claws inside the soft land I was standing above. There was no way I was going to interfere in that bottle.I mean, on one hand, Jade was my sister. On the other hand, the girl was my mate. Although she's the enemy, she is still my mate.I've always believed that everything happens for a reason. So if she's destined to me, it should be for a reason. But she's the enemy, what am I supposed to do with her?To love her?I mean, perhaps we're meant for something big…I've tried to pull myself into all sorts of positive thinking. The thing is that I've had no time to think since Jade was inches from killing my mate. I set my paws free and decided to stop her.I lost all control over my wolf since all I was seeing was red, and without thinking twice. I pushed Jade away with all I had of power. The moment Jade was thrown away, I found myself standing in her previous spot.My mate was below me, and God
Jade's point of view:Knowing that my brother didn't attack me, instead, he saved my life and erased a bit of bitterness that grew inside of my heart. That was definitely one of the worst days in my entire life. After that my brother was declared innocent, we made our pack toward the packhouse. Not that he would be killed or thrown out of the pack if he was found guilty. That would've happened to anyone but not the alpha's son. He would just be punished or scolded by my father. Also, lose all sorts of respect from his pack which is not a good thing for someone who's being the next alpha.Thank God, nothing from the previous things I've mentioned is happening. He proved to be the best alpha ever….I was still in my wolf form, and I didn't want to meet or talk with anyone, especially my mate. So, I made it inside my room by getting inside using the window, only then I shifted back to my human form.I cursed my luck since I was putting on my favorite peach cream off-shoulder dress, and i
Jade's point of view:"Okay, fine! I'm leaving… Take your time… Perhaps, re-think if we're even good for each other!"The same sentence kept repeating inside of my head, causing my wolf to go crazy. Did he reject me indirectly? I can't believe it.Think if we're even good for each other - I mean, why would he do such a thing. What's wrong with me? What am I even missing?I pulled myself up and left the bed. It's already three days, yet James keeps ignoring my presence.Once I was facing my reflection in the mirror, I couldn't recognize who I was.My face was the same…The same green eyes and blue shades, yet, I don't remember when they became that lifeless and dull.My tan skin used to be shiny and breathtaking but just like my eyes, it's so dull. My hair was still messy, but I believe I can fix it into a bun since I wasn't feeling like straightening it.I'll apply some makeup on to make my face look more alive and light.I started with my eyeshadow and some brushes. I felt lost choos
Jade's point of view: If you asked me about what was going on, I swear I wouldn't answer you. Not because I don’t want to, but since I don’t understand a thing. All I know is that my brother and I, are to be the newly collected collections for our alpha king. I don’t know for what reason - but every single rumor I’ve ever heard about him is circulating inside my head in a scary way. From the one claiming that he had killed his mate to the one stating that he kills she-wolves after spending a night with them. For instance, I thought about running away not caring about anyone else. Still, I can’t ‘not care’. How could I when the safety of my pack, family, and my brother is on the verge? Tristan, on the other hand, seems as puzzled as I am. He doesn't know for what reason I shall be in the palace. I know, I know..! You might think that all I care about is just me, myself, and I. That's not true! Tristan and I know exactly why he is being called to the Palace. Whenever the alph
Jade’s point of view/ The door busted open revealing the three royalties and of course, my attacker. I felt terror apo,n seeing his face, especially with the look printed on his face. He was looking at me with hatred which was weird, but what was even We're done with that I was feeling hurt because he was looking at me that way. Something must be wrong with me. There are other things I should care about more than he had that full of hatred look on his face. I should care about the fact that he attacked me, and he might do it again. For some unknown reason, I was feeling safe around him. Call me dumb, stupid, or fool but I was even enjoying the way he smells. He smelled like a mixture of all the good perfumes anyone can ever think about. Have I talked about how handsome he looks? In fact, all three royalties look super handsome. Still; the king AKA my attacker, looks like a star falling from the sky. He was breathtaking and was not only bigger than most of the guys in the
Jade’s point of view: I don’t know for how long the darkness was surrounding me, but I felt for an instant that it was time for me to wake up.I forced my eyes open only to notice that I was at the pack hospital. First, I didn't know what I was doing in the hospital.Still, right after, it all started coming back. The more I member what happened, the more I feel terrified. I still don’t know who the guy was, but for sure he is royalty.I mean, he threw Tristan as if he was dealing with a feather.I was still dealing with the demons in my head when I noticed that I was surrounded by my family members.I was glad to be surrounded by my closest one, only to be surprised that I was blamed for what happened.Have I mentioned that the one leading the discussion was my mate.It all started when my mother asked me about what happened.“ What have you done this time?” She questioned, as if she was done dealing with all my issues. Not that she ever did anything for me rather than judging me.“
Lucien's point of view:We sat there for a while silently looking at each other. In a hand, it can be her. On the other hand, I saw her dating between my hands. Yet, she is Talia, a never easy going female that would surprise you with her smartness, and even make you question yourself about whether she’s a blessing or a curse.I was never the beast I am right now. She was the one making what I am.She played me into challenging my father, ending his life in a battle for the title. Then, she made me believe that everyone around me is my enemy, and that they would do to me the same as I did to my father. They will take what’s mine back then.I was young, fooled by love, and I couldn’t see through the biggest picture.Because of her, I burned my half-siblings into ashes.Because of her, I poisoned every relative to me that has or has not had any chance to have the throne after me. I invited them all and killed them under the walls of my palace. She was cruel, heartless, and demanding, a
Jad’s point of view:My heart, I’m sure that everyone around was able to hear my heartbeat. Still, at that moment, I catered less about what they were able to hear or notice.I was locked down as a prisoner in those strangers' mesmerizing eyes. I never felt connected to anyone the way I’m feeling right now, even with my mate. The moment I remembered James, I tried my best to pull myself back to reality. It isn’t decent what I was doing. I do already have a mate, but still, I’m feeling captured by a stranger, and it’s something that didn’t happen for the first time.I did the same when I saw that vampire, and here I am again doing it.I tried to breathe in and out slower than I am doing right now. In fact, I was already drawing a lot of attention. Not only for the way I was acting but also because of the reaction of the three royalties. The three of them were looking at me with a mixture of feelings. I can tell that they were all shocked to see me as if it was not their first time me
Lucien’s point of view: “ Remind me where we are going again, and why?” I run my hand over my head while questioning Caine, my beta. “ One of our remarkable fighting’s in taking his alpha position.” “ Yeah… Congratulations to him!” Caine looked at me as if I were growing heads. Matter of fact, I felt like laughing while looking at how much he’s annoyed by me. Yet, I can't do a thing about it. In fact, I kind of appreciate that he never forgot that even when he is my buddy , friend, and beta, that I’m still his alpha, and I hate to be disrespected. “ We’re talking about Tristin, from the Bloody Moon pack!” Although I wasn’t looking at my face, I'm quite sure that a weird smile made its way toward my face the moment Tristan’s name was mentioned. I still remember him since he was training here in the palace, he was quite memorable, and I am indeed eager to add him as a member to my pack. “ When exactly?” “ We need to take the way the upcoming next two hours, so that we can mak
Jade's point of view: A matter of minutes before the so-called alpha king steps inside of our territory. I don't know for what reason, but I don't feel good about it. I wore a formal white shoulder dress, along with a pair of white high heels, and fixed my hair into a bun. And it was all I needed to feel satisfied with my female beta appearance. Tristan and his mate things cannot leave my mind. I don't mind him having a vampire as a mate as long as he is happy. Still, it's way too much to take in one day. One day she was trying to kill me, the other day – I learned that she's my brother's mate. I would be a liar if I deny how much I hate it all. Still, I can't do anything about it. I mean if they are destined for each other; it means that they are perfect for each other. First, Tristan and I sat up and said that he needed to meet her at least for another time before he made a decision. Then not to care about anyone's saying as long as he believed she's doing the right thing, only
