The next day, Edward arrived at the courthouse. His arrival was greeted by Elizabeth and the rest of his family.

Especially Great, Elisabeth's younger brother, who looked at him with a cynical gaze, the one who always made Edward look bad in the eyes of others.

"Look who's finally here!" Great exclaimed, his voice filled with mockery when Edward's figure finally appeared, striding alone towards them. "This loser is really slow." His tone emphasized his unconcealed hatred.

Elizabeth said nothing, but her gaze spoke more than a thousand words. Her sharp eyes followed Edward's every step like a hawk stalking its prey. A heavy sigh escaped her chest, but she remained silent, holding back every word that swirled in her head.

When Edward reached them, Elizabeth finally opened her voice, her voice cold and firm.

"You are truly shameless, Edward," she said matter-of-factly, her tone cutting through the silence like a sharp knife. "How could you show up after keeping us waiting for so long, as if nothing was more important than your ego."

Edward stared at Elizabeth calmly, as if there were no emotions present. "I have no obligation to explain my actions to you," she replied flatly. I came; that's more than enough."

"Do you think coming late makes you look important? You're just wasting everyone's time," Great said, standing next to Elizabeth, looking at Edward with a gaze full of contempt and hatred.

Edward was unfazed by Great's taunts. Edward stared at him for a moment, reading every word and intention behind his words. With one brief nod, he turned and walked into the courthouse without a word, leaving Elizabeth and Great still standing there, filled with growing hatred.

The trial began shortly afterwards. The judge called them to testify. After listening to their explanations, the judge granted their demands for separation. And now the two were officially divorced.

"I hope you will not regret this decision, Elizabeth," Edward said in a low but warning voice.

"Never!" She said firmly. Then, she left to rejoin the rest of the family.

Outside, Rossa, Elisabeth's mother, and other family members were waiting for her with big smiles and welcomed Elisabeth with a big hug. "Finally, we are free from your poor husband," she said with satisfaction.

Elisabeth nodded, looking at her parents guiltily, "You're right, Mom. Forgive me for bringing shame to the family by marrying a poor man like him," she said in a tone full of contempt.

Elizabeth's father spoke up. "Now it's all over. Let's go home and thank God for this freedom."

Bagus, Elizabeth's younger brother, replied with a big smile. "That's right, Father. Let's go home."

However, before they could move, Edward's voice came from behind. "I'm also relieved now," he said calmly, "At least I'm no longer stuck with a family that only judges everything by money."

Elizabeth turned her body around, angry. "You hypocrite, Edward! Everyone needs money, luxury, and respect. Only a fool doesn't want them!"

Great laughed mockingly, adding, "He's more than just a fool. He'll live in poverty for the rest of his life!"

Edward stared at them unflinchingly, then said in a sharp tone, "What can you be proud of Steve's wealth? A fortune made by corrupting the company's money won't last long."

"What are you talking about, Edward? You're accusing me of corrupting the company's money? Can you prove everything you said?" Said Steve, who had just arrived in his expensive suit.

Hearing that, everyone simultaneously turned to Steve.

"Not for now, but we'll see; the truth will reveal itself," Edward said later.

"Nonsense! You'll regret accusing me without proof!"

Edward sighed, looking at Steve with pity. "You seem to have forgotten the saying that no matter how good you are at hiding a carcass, the stench is bound to come out. And now you have to wait for that to happen and uncover all your rabbits."

"Edward, stop talking nonsense. Otherwise, I can't..."

Elisabeth's speech was interrupted when Edward threw a large amount of money at her. The money flew through the air, raining down on Elisabeth's body and the pseudo standing next to Elisabeth, and without shame, Elizabeth's family began to pick it up one by one.

Edward looked at Elisabeth coldly, his face full of contempt. "This is the real you, no different from a dog, forgetting everything when it sees prey. Goodbye, and may you be happy with the life you think is perfect." Then, he walked away, leaving Elisabeth in shock and humiliation.

Elizabeth stood transfixed, looking at her family, who were now busy collecting money. Her eyes were teary, filled with shame. In a low, trembling voice, she wondered.

Money? Where did she get this much money?

Why didn't I know she had so much money?

Did she keep the money to herself and not give it to me? What a bitch, you sneaky bastard; watch out, you Edward; I won't let you live with power!

Outside the courthouse, a Mercedes car was waiting for him. His assistant opened the door, and Edward got inside without looking back. For him, it was all over.

Elizabeth and her family were even more stunned, unable to believe what they had just witnessed. Their eyes widened, silent in confusion, as if the world as they knew it had suddenly turned upside down.

"What the hell is going on?" muttered Elisabeth, unable to hide her astonishment. "He has a Mercedes?"

Steve, who was standing not far from her, shook his head, confused. "No, this must be a scenario. How could he have such a luxurious car?"

"I don't know; all I know is that he's driving that disgusting old car."

"That's right. I think it's just a rental car; she's doing this to make you feel sorry for leaving her."

"You're right, Steve; this can't be allowed; we must avenge this humiliation."

"Yes, you are right; I will support you, dear."

In the silence of the car Edward was travelling in, Edward continued to stare silently out the window.

Lee, his assistant, was silent, looking at Edward.

He felt pity, anger and disappointment that the prince he respected so much was treated badly by a woman who had no position at all. He wanted to slap her face, but there was nothing he could do at the moment.

"Prince, are we going straight back to the palace?"

The voice broke Edward's reverie and answered quickly.

"No, we're going to the company I work for; there are some things I need to pick up."

"Yes, Prince."

In the midst of packing his things, a red-haired woman approached him."Edward, are you really serious about resigning?" Edward paused for a moment, staring at the woman before answering calmly, "Yes, why?" he replied briefly, without the slightest hesitation in his voice."It's nothing. It's just that I feel sorry to see a man as handsome as you have to experience this kind of betrayal, but if I were your wife, I would do the same thing; what's the point of having a handsome but poor husband." "Whatever my reasons are, it's none of your business; after all, which man would want to marry a woman like you?""What do you mean? I'm a good woman, not a cheap woman like your wife, who would sell her body to another man for money."Edward sighed, looking at the woman coldly, "Do you really not want to? Or is there currently no man willing to buy your body?"After saying that, Edward

Edward stared straight ahead, his eyes showing disappointment though his voice remained calm. "Fine, if that's your decision." His answer was short, but his nonchalant tone made Kyla feel guilty. Edward refocused on driving, but this time at a higher speed than before. Kyla sat still in her seat, her mind spinning endlessly. What was really going on? Did Edward dislike her decision to divorce? Or... could he have deeper feelings for her? "No way," she muttered softly, trying to dismiss the thought. However, there was no doubt-the man was real, standing there with a sly smile that deliberately provoked his emotions.“Ricky?” Kyla finally spoke, her tone trembling with confusion and disappointment.
