“Vampire?.. Werewolf? What's that got to do with me? I thought I'm a wizard, at least that's what the girl told me,” Mathias said, his voice laced with confusion and disbelief.

Fateema's mother stared at Mathias in a strange way, as if to say, Are you messing with me? before she remembered that the poor boy didn't remember a thing.

“Yes, you are a wizard, a warlock, and a very powerful one at that. But your friend, the girl you want to save, is not human. She is a creature. Half vampire, half werewolf...a Hybrid. So by helping you regain your memory, we will be helping her, because you want to break her from a curse that would take her life,” Iya explained, her tone carrying a mix of seriousness and concern.
