Clara removed the duvet covering her body and then rolled out of bed, feeling exhausted and groggy. As she got up, she stumbled towards the bathroom to wash her face, her eyes still puffy from crying.

Opening the tap water in the sink, she sprinkled some of the running water on her face with both hands, hoping to feel refreshed. "Why do I keep having nightmares?" she asked her reflection in the mirror, her voice trembling with fear and confusion.

She splashed the water on her head from her blonde hair to the rest of her face, then dried it up with a face towel, trying to calm herself down.

Meanwhile, her mom, Dr. Ellen, was at the door stairs in the kitchen making breakfast, her mind still reeling from her encounter with her long-lost lover, Damian. She tried her best to focus on her cooking, but her hands were shaking as she cracked the eggs, her heart still racing with emotions.

She was baking some cake in the oven and had eggs waiting to be fried also. She was busy with her kitc

“You are right, in everything you said. I am heartless, and I won't deny that fact. I am not a good guy, in fact, I am as bad as they come. I can end someone's life as fast as you can blink an eye, and yes, I killed those men, but in fact, they weren't people, nor were they innocent, as you are trying to paint them,” Damian said coldly, his eyes glinting with a dangerous intensity. Vivian could feel her heart racing in her chest, and a cold shiver ran down her spine. “What do you mean they weren't people?” she asked, her voice barely above a whisper. “Why don't I tell you more while seated? Or are you scared I would hurt you too?” Damian said, a wicked grin spreading across his face, making Vivian feel even more uneasy. “I am not scared of you,” she said, trying to sound brave, but her voice trembled slightly. “Good, then let me have a seat, and I will tell you everything. It's quite a juicy tale,” Damian said, and Vivian couldn't help but wonder what kind of person could find plea

"I promise... but what do you think they want again this time?" she asked, her voice tinged with worry. "He said they want my end. I think they want to finish what their ancestors couldn't 300 years ago – to end the great reign of Eric Damian," he said plainly. "But that's impossible, right? I mean, you are immortal and all that. They surely know they stand no chance coming up against you," Vivian said, her voice filled with disbelief and confusion. "Well, they are no fools. Something really strange is happening in this town. Witches hate vampires, especially witches from the Red Spider coven. They view vampires as a great plague on the earth, and they would not hesitate to kill one when they have the chance... but clearly, the man that attacked you and is pretending to be me is a vampire, and he is clearly working with the witches. A vampire, a member of the Red Spider Coven? I never thought I would see such a day," Damian said, his voice laced with shock and disbelief. "So, what

"Crafty old bitch!" Anna cursed silently when Mr. Mike was speaking, her face contorted in anger. "Did you say something?" Mr. Mike asked as he saw Anna's mouth move, his forehead creasing with concern. "Nothing, I said nothing. I am just wondering, are you the only one taking care of all these old people? Don't you have other workers here?" Anna said, quickly improvising, her tone laced with skepticism. "Well, this isn't a corporate work where you get paid weekly wages nor a government facility. Lara walked straight to meet Lucian, placing the pipe into his mouth before lighting it up for him. As she made to leave, Lucian drew her closer to his body by pulling her waist towards him. His hand gradually moved down her body until he grabbed hold of one of her butt cheeks, squashing it, while staring into Adams' eyes. The latter reacted to what was happening with a deep swallow of saliva, feeling a mix of shock and discomfort. He drew on the pipe, the smoke curling around her face as he puffed it out in circles before giving her a passionate kiss. The kiss ended with him smacking her butt, leaving her feeling both excited and apprehensive. “You so so sweet Lara dear,” he said, his voice husky with desire as he continued puffing his pipe. Just then, one of his men entered the room, interrupting their intimate moment. “My Alpha, we have located Rodriguez's hideout,” the man said. Lucian's expression hardened, and a wicked smile spread across his face. “Get the car ready. Adams, g

It was as if she really believed what she was saying about me,” Clara said, her eyes welling up with tears. “Just because she believes it doesn't make it true. You're not a cursed child, or a she-wolf, or the daughter of the Devil. No daughter of the Devil could be as beautiful as you,” Mathias said, trying to make her smile. Clara managed a brief smile before the troubled look returned to her face. “I don't know. “Wow... It makes a whole lot of sense," Clara said with a hint of surprise, her eyes widening slightly. "So you were wrong when you said Damian doesn't have a heart. He clearly does, that's why he felt pity and regret for what he did, even though it wasn't entirely his fault since he was cursed and all." Mathias nodded slightly, his lips pressed into a thin line. "I guess you are right about that," he said, his voice low and thoughtful. “But why did the people tell a false history of the event?" Clara asked, her brow furrowing in confusion. “I guess they were ashamed of what they did to their own people, when they realized what they had done," Mathias explained, his voice tinged with sadness. "So they just blamed everything on the big bad vamp." "Alright, I think we should start going back," Mathias said, his tone brisk and businesslike. "They may be looking for us now." “Rodriguez, why don't you come out already? There's no point in hiding. You are surrounded," Lucian said, his v

She rummaged through her bag and pulled out some cash to pay the cab driver, handing him the money he was owed and an extra tip for the inconvenience of having to wake her up. “Thank you, madam,” the Indian driver said, bowing his head in gratitude, his eyes gleaming with appreciation. Dr Ellen stumbled out of the cab, her body swaying slightly as she tried to regain her balance. She made her way to the car dealership, her feet dragging across the pavement. Night had fallen on the earth, but Lucian's mansion was alive with light, illuminating the darkness that enveloped the city. She got to her room, dropped her bag, and then stripped naked before walking into the bathroom to take a shower. As the water came down gently on her head, she closed her eyes, and in flashes, Mrs. Fernanda's words and face came to her, causing a sharp pang in her chest. "DIABLA (she devil), LOBA (she wolf), HIJA DEL DIABLO (daughter of the devil), HEREDERA DE LA MALDICION (cursed child)...." It troubled her so much that she opened her eyes, staring at the standing mirror. Water from the shower was still pouring down on her face, blurring her view, but she could swear her reflection on the mirror looked more like a creature rather than
