Claire's POV

"Sure," Gwen said. I could tell she was shocked by her facial expression. We went into the bedroom so that we could talk in private. Once inside, we both sat on the bed, and Gwen waited for me to start.

"I wanted to say that I am sorry for how I treated you today," I said.

"You have no reason to be sorry, Claire. You have every right to be upset at what Gary did to your parents. I wanted to tell you that I am so sorry for what he did to you. It is his fault that you and Jenn had to live in foster care all those years. I understand if you want to reject me. I don't deserve you, especially after I put Gary before you," Gwen said. I could see tears in her eyes, ready to escape at any second.

"Gwen, I am not going to reject you. I wanted to let you know that even though you hurt me by being on Gary's side, let's not forget flirting with that guy right in front of me. I want to start over from scratch," I said

Unfortunately, Gary is going to get a hold of her and Gwen before that!! The authors seem to do this every time!!

I would say Gwen showing up at the council meeting and telling them they were mates. Was a big step. She did that knowing her dad would be killed. She did it to protect her mate.

Great, Gwen had to do nothing at all to win her heart back. It's really sad that her 3 mates are so unworthy of her.
