Jennifer's POV

"You had good reason to kill them, Lucien. I wish there were another way, but deep down, I know there wasn't. You are right. Lucy would have kept coming after me if you didn't stop her. I don't even think making her a Rogue would have stopped her from trying to kill me. You made the right decision, Lucien, and I am not mad at you," I said truthfully, and I could see how relieved Lucien was by my words.

"You have no idea how happy I am to hear you say that, Little One. I thought you would think I was a monster," Lucien said. I felt terrible knowing he thought I would see him as a monster because of what he did to Lucy, but I knew he had no other choice.

"You could never be a monster. Yes, I hate violence, but I know there are times when it is unavoidable. I know what can happen after seeing what my sister went through with her Mates and their exes. I feel special knowing you would do anything to keep me safe. I only hope nothing like this has to happen again," I said
